I have a problem opening common.mpq
I'm using MWS , and if I click on open common, It doesn't do anything ..
I can open any other MPQ-s but that 1 doesn't do anything ..
Any tips ?

When I Open my "Common.mpq" file in MWS. I go into "CHARACTERS" and click on "Blood Elf" when i go to "Male" and click on "BloodElfMale.M2" I get an error in the program and I have to close it down

Im not sure what is going on or if im even doing it correctly. But is it even possible to change character models in BC? Because there isnt any "Updated" guides for BC Race Model Changing..

Greetings,

I've got a question about changing the helm textures of a Human Female into an Bloodelfe Female. Got the step and renamed the textures to the wanted race, but in which .mpq should I save them? Someone said something about Patch-6.mpq and Patch-10.mpq. Nothing worked out. Please help me to solve the problem with this wrong helm textures. It's strange to see Bloodelfes with weird helmets on their heads...

where is this "model.mpq" file ? can't find it :S

happends same to me... with male undead :O what's the problem?

Well, im still n00b on this so ihave some Questoins.
I open MpQ Master, then press "file", go in Wow map then Data, in there i open Common.MPQ and it get in the left "flder",
WTF do i do after that??..

and i have Mws and all other stuff >.<

May 19 2007, Does race to race model edits still work using this technique? Stopped editing after a few patches before BC because of all the difficulties. Just getting back into it. A reply would be greatly appreciated.

The guide is rather brief, if someone could expand on it - that would be great.

I open common.mpq in MWS, then i am supposed to copy my character - yet how would I go about doing this in MWS. Also there are two folders called character in common.mpq, which one do I use?

I can't open Common.mpq in MWS. Actually I can't open any .mpq files. I believe I have the latest version (a link to it would be nice) and I have All files(*.*) selected in the bottom left tab. Any idea what's going on?

OK I have a problem with my model. I changed it from BE male > Human male. The problem is that the facial hair on Human are not showing, because I can't find any textures of BE facial hair that I could replace. Anyone knows where I could find those BE textures that I should replace?
