It should work.. Think you're doing something wrong. You have inserted the wrong hex numbers I think. maybe you wrote for example 1122 instead of 2211

Thats what I thought at first, but then you should also see a '?' icon when you press 'C'. But it didnt, I showed a shield-icon... :s + I didnt think I did it wrong, cuz on the website ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]) it says 'All these codes are the correct way round. No change is necessary.'

So when I look for Azure-Shield of Coldarra and it says '7 e a 6' I suppose that is how I enter it... Right?

I exchanged my King's Defender with another weapon and also changed the sheathe position to my back.
But a week ago there was this little patch. And after that day my cache file has been resetted and now my king's defender doesnt reappear in the file.
Does anyone has any tips how to fix this?
(The Model is still replaced because i did it with DBC editing)

Someone please try to change a offhand to a shield with itemchange and tell me if it works, cuz I just cant seem to get it to work here...

I was able to change my offhand to a shield however it doesnt show when sheathed. You have to do it the old way follow the guildes put it in a patch file and then load it up.

but ive tryed to edit my king´s defender to be sheated on the back but i think my numbers is incorrect.. when i search after "King" cause king´s defender doesnt work :/ i get the numbers 6545 its messed up some1 able to help ?

Very good guide, Works with other equiped items too(Helm etc).
After playing around with this, If you dont seem to have the other item(Thunderfury or so), You cant change your current too it.

hey guys...i tried to work with this guide on model changing and it doesnt work :S i changed the hex value that was shown in wow.allakhazam.com (for Warglaive of Azzinoth) and it made my weapon invisible...then it was a box..then it just didnt do a crap...please help :]

This happened to me this morning with the patch, heres a simple solution:
In game you just need to run your mouse over all the gear you've swapped, this will put it in your itemcache. Then you have to go back into your hex editor and do it again >.>

So if you dont want to have to do this every time save a copy of your edited cache in a differnt folder and then just put it back in after you download the patch
