hi, thx alot for this guide. the only thing i cant figure out ( its probably something small and stupid ) but i cant seem to open any items/item list with wow model viewer, and i cant search anything either. pls explain this thanx

items.csv is a separate file inside the WoWModelViewer folder.

is it also possible to chance your race/appearance using this method or isnt it possible after the patch anymore?

for example if i changed alot of things and i want to put it all back to normal, do i need to find all the numbers again and change it? or is there a easier way?

No, You can just delete the itemcache.wdb file and it wow will create a new one for you

I did this for an item that didn't have durability (Lamp of Peaceful Repose). Basically, with your guide, I figured everything had a pattern so I found the 03* (hip) and changed it a staff's 02 (back).

Anyway, wanted to say 02 is also on your back, but the difference between 02 and 01* (i'm inferring this, mind you) is that 02 puts the head of the staff above your head. If you were to use 01*, it would put the head of the staff pointing downward towards the ground, like how a sword tip should go.

02 - Back (Staff)
03 - Hip

Did it even work? i looked at this item and the number you should be changing shows as 03 for me

Er.. yeah that's what it was. I kinda' sped through it, I've been screwing around with a lot of things lately, so I haven't exactly been checking myself (hell, I've even been misspelling really common words the past few hours, and that's unusual for me).

I'll check again, but it's working for me.

Edit: I checked. Yes, it says 03 (/redface) but the 02 does work.

Since last patch this havent been working for me, when I open itemcache in the xvi32 program it's not the same as it was before the patch. Hl3p plox

tried to do Sun eater into thunderfury. same dura 105 / 69 hex. I counted 20 cubes backwards, not counting 69 Value. and came up with EA, Tried changing EA to 01 and doesnt work

Search a few '69' Hex strings down until its the last one before the next item.
