Remove scan.dll from your WoW folder before loading it with WoWME.

Who knows? So far I don't think anyone has been detected with this new file, but then again it's very recent.
I'm absolutly sure that Blizzard reads these forums and downloads the files themselves so they can figure out how to detect it.

There was always a risked of being banned, but now the likelihood has increased.

My advice?
Delete all your model edits and WOWME untill you know for sure that this version can bypass Blizzard.

You can still swap your gear with Glitchy's MES: .WDB Edit.

It is troublesome to erase scan.dll every time it plays a game.

I currently deleted the scan.dll file and stared the WoWME it seems to create a new scan.dll every time you delete it.
So i opened (one that has been created with WoWME not being in the wow folder) it using wordpad and deleted most of the content and saved it that way i also created an additional wordpad file and renamed it scan.dll,
afterwards it seems to create an file called scan.dll.new file when stared again in wich i did the same thing opened the scan.dll.new file with wordpad in wich i also deleted most of the content and saved it while also making an wordpad additional file named scan.dll.new (all this with WoWME not being in the wow folder),
as result a started the game the third time and it didn't create anymore files and left the existent ones there.

p.s. - as stated above i also changed each of the four files property's to read only.

Model Editing has been working flawlesly for a long periode. But yesterday we got the first reports of World of Warcraft giving errors about an illegal file: WOWME.

Apparently scan.dll is a file which allows Warden(Blizzard's anti-hack and cheat program)to look for Model Edit Fixes. It's quite logical that there needs something to be done with this scan.dll in order to let WOWME work again.

Here are some ways to do it:

  Yeah, we all know that the sticky is supposed to be read. I did. Everyone also know that moderation action will be taken against people who don't follow that sticky. I know that too.
  
  However, I thought it would be important and helpful to list to people a way to keep the scan.dll file from coming back. On my computer at least, every time I delete it, WoW tries to reinstall the file. So, to combat that, you can do this easy thing, which will make it so that Blizzard doesn't reinstall the scan.dll file.
  
  Delete both scan.dll and scan.dll.new from your World of Warcraft folder. From here on, be hasty, as we don't want to have it come back. Next, go to notepad. Save your blank file in the World of Warcraft folder and name it "Scan.dll" without quotes. Using this, you should be able to prevent the scan.dll file from running, as well as keep it from fixing itself.
