I'm kind of tired of seeing people saying they can't get it to work. Just do this

1. Download WoWME if you don't have it
2. Download the Model Edit you want
3. Place the model edit (without renaming) into /Data folder (World of Warcraft/Data)
4. Place all the files in the .ZIP/.RAR into your WoW folder
5. Now, open WoWME.cfg in NotePad, erase all thats in it, and just place the name of the .MPQ you added

Example:

I downloaded BloodElf2NightElf.mpq

I would put..

BloodElf2NightElf.mpq

In my WoWME.cfg, without the # or anything, and including .MPQ

Now, run WoWME from your WoW folder (DO NOT MAKE A SHORTCUT, USUALLY WILL NOT WORK)

Before you even type in your username, press 'F8'

Now, login, and the Model Edit should work

If not, your PC might just fail? O.o

PUT THE WOWME IN YOUR WOW FOLDER AND RUN THE WOWME.EXE FROM THERE

It gives me the "We're sorry, WoW.exe could not start" and asks me top send a report to microsoft about it.

Overdose, thank you, this cleared up a few questions of mine and I was able to successfully Turn a Belf into an UD and change a few warlock spells. I realize this was just a simple guide but I figured I'd ask about a problem I just encounted to see if anyone had a solution.

I was attempting to turn Immolate into Fel Immolate for the "green fire" appearance. After moving the mpq and tossing the name into the cfg I tried to open the wowme.exe. For some odd reason it would no longer work even though I had just used it to open wow minutes ago. There was no error message or anything. It just appeared as if wow was about to open and then it simply doesn't.
