Strictly speaking (to remove any misconception that Carbonite is literally compiled), the original poster did not need a compiler; he needed a deobfuscater and the initiative to write an addon to extract decrypted source for it.

This thread is about reverse engineering Carbonite, not the definition or common interpretation of what "decompilation" is.

I don't think anybody here believes Carbonite or any other Add-on is Compiled, he obviously meant Encryption/Obfuscation, so why cant people just realise that and start helping, instead of filling the thread with a useless discussion about add-ons not being compiled.

There was a way to decrypt Carbonite provided by Moritz-M in another thread [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
but this doesnt seem to work with later versions than 1.68.
