- MaNGOS
I used Bitlord to download MaNGOS.
So here is the bitlord link: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
I used Bitlord v.1.1 Stable Version, but it does'nt really matter.

Ok, when the downlaod for Bitlord has finished, select run.
- Choose your language, press ok.
- Next
- Agree
- Now the componant's part, I had them all selected, but it does not matter.
- Next
- Install
- Finish

- Now run Bitlord
- Select search
- Type MaNGOS into the Bittorrent search box.
- Click search
- Select MaNGOS WoW Server 2.0.8 - DJ eXeCute and save.
- Open the file
- Press ok
- The file will now start downloading, this may take a while,
it depends on your internet connection speed.

- While this is being downloaded you can change your realmlist WTF file.
- This can be found in your World of Warcraft folder.
- Open the realmlist WTF file with notepad
- Set the realmlist to: set realmlist (your ip address).
- You can find your ip address by:
-Start, run, type "CMD" without "" and search and click ok.
- Now type "ipconfig" without "".
- Find your ip address.
- Now you can set your realmlist.
So it will be: set realmlist (your ip address).
Ok now that this is done we just need to wait for MaNGOS to download...

When Bitlord has finished downloading MaNGOS, you need to:
- Double click on files (This can be found on the left hand side of bitlord),
under trackers and above peers.
- Now an installation box will come up for MaNGOS,
this has everything you need for your server.

- When the installation is complete:
- Go to were you saved MaNGOS.
The folder should be named (MaNGOS WoW Server).
- Now double click on SERVERCONTOL.
- When the MaNGOS Server Control Panel window appears:
- Click on Apache & SQL
- Click on Start MaNGOS
- Click on Start Realm

Now to making your GM Account!
- Go back to the MaNGOS Server Control Panel window
- Click on Register GM Account
- Now a new internet explorer/firefox page should come up.
- Enter your username and password
For example
Username: Admin
Password: admin
- Now you have made a GM Account!
To make a GM Account/ Normal Account you need to have:
- Start MaNGOS running
- Start Realm running
Make sure them two are running a the two windows are open!

Now to editing the server.
- Go back to the MaNGOS Server Control Panel window.
- Click on Server Name/ Address
- Now a new internet explorer/firefox page should come up.
- Now enter your desired realm name
- In the Realm IP you need to enter you IP Address...
remember how we found it earlier!
- Click on Submit form.
Now your server should be running!
To edit the server you need to have:
- Start MaNGOS running
- Start Realm running
Make sure them two are running a the two windows are open!
Just like last time!
For friends to play on the server they need to change there set realmlist to:
set realmlist YOUR IP ADDRESS
To register your friends to your server you need to make there accounts...
There maybe a way were they can create there own account,
but im not sure how to do that yet [IMG]http://www.************/forum/images/smilies/smiley.gif[/IMG]
To make your friend an account:
- Go to MaNGOS Server Control Panel.
- Click on register account and do the same as you did with your GM Account.
- Your friends can also be GM's, so just click on register GM Account if your
giving them a GM Account.
Remember to have:
- Start MaNGOS running
- Start Realm running
Make sure them two are running a the two windows are open!

I nedd help!!! I can start evrything perfect but when i pres on "Enter World" it start load and when it load down it shuts donw and it say error. Help!

I just installed it and the server crashes my game when i try to get on my toon. It comes up with hte same error as the guy that posted above me. When i look over at my server conslue it has
Error: invalid faction <679> ..
SEESION: received unhandled opcode UNKNOWN <0x038x> (x11 times)
then it says
Player:GetBaseReputation: cant get base reputation of danso for faction id 98

well i installed it on two different computers and it stills comes up with that same error. Also when mangos is starting up all the quests come up with errors.
ill tell u the steps i done.
1. i reinstall wow
2. that error means u havnt extract properly
3. extract it again follow steps
4. try again
5.Logg in
6. it worked for me
7.have fun
