Before we start, yes i misspelled Guild, its Guide ;DDDDD
Okay I havent seen a mangos 2.1.1-2.1.2 yet on these forums, so here we go.
What you need...............
•••MYSQL••• [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ========================================================= •••NAVICAT••• [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ========================================================= •••2.1.1-2.1.2 Mangos Server••• [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] =========================================================
Lets get started.
1. Download and install the Mysql. 1a. After installation, click "configure the server now" 1b. Click next 1c. Click Standard Configuration 1d. Click next 1e. Choose "Run as Windows" at top. 1f. Click next 1g. Put in a password (put password root for now) 1h. Click next, and click execute. 1i. After that completes, exit out Mysql.
2. Download and install Navicat. 2a. After installation, go ahead and download the server if you haven't already. 2b. After download, extract the folder somewhere on your computer. (the folder might say 2.1.1, but it WILL work on 2.1.2)
3. Open up Navicat. 3a. Select "Create a New Connection" 3b. Now fill what I have in below....
4. Click "Test Connection", if successful, click "Ok". 4a. Rightclick the Connection you just made. 4b. Select "New Database" 4c. Name it "realmd" 4d. Click "Ok" 4e. Rightclick connection again. 4f. Select "New Database" again. 4g. Name it "mangos" 4f. Click "Ok"
5. Now open your connection by left clicking it once. 5a. Rightclick your "realmd" database 5b. Select "Execute Batch File" 5c. Now go into your Server Folder (wherever you extracted it to), click folder "sql", and click on the "realmd.sql" file. 5d. After that finishes do the same for the "mangos" database, but this time click on the "mangos.sql" file. 5e. This will take ALOT longer then realmd, so take a little break. 5f. After that finishes, close Navicat.
6. Go into your server folder (wherever you extracted it) 6a. Find and open the "realmd.conf" file with Notepad. 6b. Searching for following line...
6c. Then of course replace where it says [mysql pass] with your password you put in step 1....."root" (take out brackets too) 6d. Save and close. 6e. Now open up "mangos.conf" with notepad and search for this line...
6f. Again replace the [mysql pass] with your mysql password. 6e. Save and close.
7. Now, find the file "ad.exe" in your server folder. 7a. Move that file to your World of Warcraft folder.
(ex: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft) 7b. Now create a new folder in your World of Warcraft folder named "maps" 7c. Now execute the "ad.exe" and wait until that finishes... 7d. After completion, copy the "maps" folder into your Server folder.
(By now you should know where that is)
8. Good Job, but your not done yet... 8a. To name your server, open up Navicat and go into your "realmd" database and select the table "realmlist". 8b. Now you should see a new window with a list of tabs at the top. 8c. Find the tab "name" and change it to whatever you want. 8d. Click the "checkmark" at the bottom to save and close that table for now. 8e. Now to create an account, click on the "account" table. 8f. You can either leave it like it is, or you can edit it the way you list. 8e. SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW IN THE ACCOUNT TABLE...
9. Now one more thing if you want to connect to your server... 9a. Go to your World of Warcraft folder and locate the file "realmlist.wtf" 9b. Open that file with NOTEPAD. 9c. Now change the contents of the file to..."set realmlist 127.0.0.1" 9d. Save and close.
10. Now to start up your server you can either run the "restarter" file in your server folder, or you can just run "realmd.exe", and then "mangos.exe".
You HAVE to have at least 2.1.1 or 2.1.2...either way works
If you want to change back to the official servers again, follow these steps.. •Go into your C: drive •Locate the file "realmlist.wtf" in your C: drive, not your World of Warcraft. •Now copy that file to your World of Warcraft folder, and when it says "overwrite exsisting file?" click on "yes".
•••MAKING YOUR SERVER PUBLIC••• There are a couple ways of doing this.

Way 1: No-IP •Go to[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] •Click "Downloads" at top •Download it •Then once its downloaded, load it up and create a new ip-name (ex: wow.no-ip.info) •Once you created a name, copy the name into your realmlist.wtf file... it should look something like this... set realmlist wow.no-ip.info •Save and close •Your not done yet! Open up Navicat. •Go in "realmd" database and select the "realmlist" table •Where it says 127.0.0.1, change it to your no-ip name •Click the checkpoint at the bottom and close •Your friends also have to change their realmlist.wtf to connect to your server.
Way 2: Hamachi •Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] •Download it and install it. •Create a new network, name it whatever you want, and set a password. •Once you created a network, copy the hamachi address into your realmlist.wtf file... it should look something like this... set realmlist 5.179.153.170 •Your not done yet! Open up Navicat. •Go in "realmd" database and select the "realmlist" table •Where it says 127.0.0.1, change it to your hamachi address •Click the checkpoint at the bottom and close •When your friends want to connect, they have to connect to your hamachi as well, so they have to download hamachi and connect to your network. (REMEMBER, The network name and password are CaSe-SeNsEtIvE) •Your friends also have to change their realmlist.wtf....
IF YOUR HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR REALMD FOLLOW THESE NEXT STEPS 11. download this file [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] 11a. extract the file on your desktop. 11b. now place the fixed "realmd.sql" in your (SERVER FOLDER\SQL\) folder, and overwrite the exsisting one in there. 11c. now you will have to redo some steps "sorry guys" 11d. open up your Navicat 11e. delete your "realmd" database 11f. create a new database and name it "realmd" again 11e. rightclick that database and select execute batch file, and locate the file you just downloaded a second ago 11f. once that is finished, you will have to redo your tables, because it reset...(sorry again =( ) 11g. once that is complete, close Navicat and start it up! 11h. one more thing, don't mind the language on the realmd.exe, if you see a HOCH somewhere, then your good.
Features •Black Temple (all creatures are level 1 except the boss (Illidan) which is level 74 elite) type .tele blacktemple in-game to teleport there. •Tier 1-5 working, and tier 6 can be loaded into your server as well.

mine navicat says at realmd [Msg] Finished - Unsuccessfully is it suposed to do that ?

"access denied for 'root'@'localhost'(using password:YES)
and it tells me if i have a firewall to open TCP port 3306 which i dont have a firewall on my machine, would a router make it do that?
I tried opening the port in my router but nothing changed. Any help would be appreciated.
wait you sure you disabled your firewall? because most machines come with firewalls
Try going here(Start >> Control Panel >> Firewall) and make sure thats disabled, then try..
did you use the right password? try configuring mysql again with password root and try it again
another reason is you could have 2 mysql programs running at the same time, that happened to me once.

ok I figured out how to fix my problem, apparently even if it says unsuccessful its fine just as long as you put the check in the box that says continue with errors. It just works anyway, don't know why but it does. Everything seems to be working except certain gm commands seem not to work or exist. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but spawning a mob works fine but something like .kill doesn't.
Darknagin I noticed this too, make sure you have both the realmd and magnos .exe files running. I once forgot to start the magnos exe and just had the realmd one open and this was the issue. Hope this helps.
Guys y have a realy big problem.
The server is good but y can't make a darenei or bloodelf char.
Or when y try to teleport on gmisland or outland says- need instal the burning crusade expansion pack.What should y do?
you forgot to enable TBC on your account. open up Navicat again and go in the realmd database and select the realmlist table. then find your account, and scroll allll the way over to the right, until you find a column that says "tbc", change that to a 1 to enable burning crusade on your account and your good to go.

t6 isn't the actual t6 and warglaives aren't the one dropped by illidan. Have u got them in another database, casually? >_<
Yeah sorry the tier 6 gear doesnt have the right stats on them, you can just make your own items btw or just stick with tier 5.

you cant change your mount speed, but you can change your speed : /
to look up an item, either find the name of it and in-game type .lookupitem #, then after that an ID will show up, so now type .additem #id...another way you can do this is going in the mangos database and looking in the "item_template" table and just searching through there.

You cant really type when dead, so next time try enabling gm (.gmon), or just going to your corpse the normal way...if your WAY far aways, go into your realmd database and go into account table, then where it says "isdead" or something like that, put a 0...im not really sure if that will work ><

First you have to make sure that both your realmd.exe and mangos.exe are running. If your realmd isnt running, and it wont run, try following the guide in red in the first post.

Hi there... have a problem during hamachi connection. when i use it i cant connect i have changed the ip to hamachis both places but still no luck.. any ideas?
You mean the hamachi wont start up? If you mean that then the only reason I think it could be is your firewall. Make sure you see all 3 green dots on the icon
Or are you saying you just cant connect to your hamachi in WoW? just remember to change your realmlist to your hamachi instead of 127.0.0.1...

i mean the restarter runs realmd.exe and mangos.exe automatically.
OR
you can just run realmd.exe and mangos.exe by yourself
they are all in your server folder

and make sure you configured your realmd.conf and mangos.conf to connect to your mysql.......if you haven't done that then it just closes right when u start it up

and if you have a problem with starting up mangos.exe just look in your server folder and copy the contents of the file "server.txt" to here.
same with realmd if you have a problem just copy the contents of the "realmd.txt" file here and ill see what i can do

Oh i read all the post about 5 times each.. lol. Problem isn't that i have everything correct yet the realm is in a loop i click ok and it flashes then goes back to realm list...
Thats with no-ip btw* With hamachi it sticks at logging into server.
you might also have to recreate the database for realmd again @Avaro
