I'm having probles getting the server to start, or do anything for that matter. Whenever I hit the "starter" icon, it starts loading... then BAM! I get a error from the restarter mentioning how it can't find the file .check. Anyone know anything about that?
can anyone tell me how my realmlist is supoused to be?
because everytime i try to log in it says that I that the information i entered isn't valid, I can't have spelled 3 and 3 wrong right?

For the people looking for vmap files, you have to get the files to extract them first. I got mine from the Mangos git hub. I would have posted the link, but was stopped because I don't have enough posts. So go to the Mangos site, click on the 'Wiki' button and scroll down till you see the github link. Click on that, then on the contrib folder, then on the vmap_extract_assembler_bin folder and download everything in it. Copy all the files to your root WoW directory and run either of the two bat files (they both do the same thing. The SIMPLE one just doesn't pause with messages.) You'll need about 1.75G free space on your drive to extract and assemble the vmaps, and expect it to take a looooong time. After it's through, move (or copy if you have the space) the vmaps folder to your Mangos folder. Edit your mangosd.conf file and change the entries from vmap.enableLOS and vmap.enableHeight from 0 to 1. Start or restart your server and you should be up and working.
If you get an error saying that you're missing a vmap, then you'll have to do like I did and try different editions of the extractor/assembler software until you get one that works for your system. Don't get discouraged. It took me four attempts with different versions until I found one that worked.
I'm running Mangos 0.14.0-DEV revision 8305. I've been in HoL, VH, MT and they all were working. If you can't get in any Outland or Northrend locations, you have to have the two expansions installed and also make sure you've set the variable that tells your server you have the two expansions installed. This is a reiteration of a few posts in this thread, where the method has been explained. GO BACK AND READ THIS THREAD! Many questions that are still being asked have already been answered.

Each variation of Mangos has it's own ad.exe program. Make sure you're using the ad.exe program that came with your version of Mangos. That program is what extracts all the .dbc files. Once the program is done extracting them all, move the 'maps' and 'dbc' folder to the root server folder (where mangos.exe and realmd.exe are, in the case of regular Mangos.) Then try starting the server again.
Hi, I've never run a private server before, so I downloaded your repack and installed it, however when I start it up it just keeps restarting its self non stop. All I want it for is so I can play it by myself, Don't want it to go online or anything like that.
Abit more detail:
I click run server, the count down begins, a window opens then another then closes and keeps doing that non stop :/ any help would be greatly apprciated.
Mine done the same, but my Wow dir is in c:/user/public.
My Mangos restarter crashes and restarts too. Another quote when i try to open realmd or mangosd i get "the application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect."
You talk about a vendors kit, does that mean this server doens't have vendors or its to add more vendors?
Another question... How do i config the server for lan gaming? I have 3 computers and 2 lan cables conecting them. Do i need a sql?
I have now 2 pc's, 1 lan cable. I used the ipconfig in cmd to check my ip, changed the adress ( and realmlist ) to that like you said and opened the ports. I have even tried without firewalls, and i'm not using a router.
I can enter the server, but i can't enter the realms. Sometimes it says its offline others it says its online, but it never enters, i can't even check the chars.
If i put the adress to localhost i can play normaly, in my computer, the one with the server, but the others don't even log.
