do you have a Repack that works on MAC's i have a macbook and everytime i try to setup a private server it says windows application blah blah blah and then this weird textbox pops up with al these weird symbols..
Little extra here, a vendor pack. It's not totally up to date, basically just a conversion of a 2.4.3 vendor pack, but it's something.

Includes three separate .sql query files, one to create the vendors, one to create their inventories, and one to spawn them. Spawning them via sql file is optional, as you can spawn just the ones you want anywhere you want with the .npc add 555XXX command. See the readme for vendor numbers.
spawn.sql will put them in shattrath, in a long, curvy line around the terrace of light. The line's a bit messy, as I didn't realize just how many blood elves 130 blood elves really is.
if you need help importing (will only work with this repack or other repacks using the same version of mangos, by the way), watch these two gifs. 771, do you have an explanation on how to fix the realm list? I opened port 3306, 3724, 8085, both on TCP and UDP, I tried to reinstall couple of times.. nothing happened.. I turned of my Firewall, AVirus... but my friend gets stuck on the realm list. He can see the server online, but when he tries to connect it just goes back to realm list selection

Should have known better
I went ahead and DL'd this package cause I didn't want to spend hours making a lan server to play on. But in the back of my mind I knew something wasn't right.
Anyways after installing and running the .bat I have massive browser redirects and ads. More often than not I now get syntax errors when trying to connect to a web page after a search.

hi 711!
i forwarded the ports and i modified the adress in the realmlist table. but i can't logon!
my external IP always changes, but when i have one stable external ip, i can't logon too.
what's? the problem?
It says "login server down" when i want to logon

I also have the same problem, i can login but when i click my realm it says Logging into server and then after 10 sec it just takes me back to the whole realmlist....FIX PLEASE!!!!
Do you have a webstite we can set up that works with this repack?
Also a little tourail on how to set it up for this repack would be really appriciated.
As always, my repacks have been about the very simplest way to get accurate, working, up to date world of warcraft realm emulation. Given the differences between operating systems, firewalls, networking hardware, and ISP's, there is no single, easy, concrete way to make a server public. Simply put, you have to know your own network before you can host a public server of any kind (be it wow, http, ftp, starcraft, etc).
As such, I have never really offered any advice on how to configure you're network, as that's not really what I do. If you need assistance with this, I suggest you read the following thread:

Hey! Why am i getting "Your trial subscription has expired" when i try to log in on my created account have set gmlevel 3 and set addon 2 (wotlk). And what is the password to the already created accounts??

Some problem with instalation...
Hi, I'd like to thanks to 711 for this great idea. This repack should be the bomb.
However after downloading ans installing, I'm getting the following errors:
Debugmysql.bat gives this:
090623 18:21:32 InnoDB: Operating system error number 32 in a file operation.
InnoDB: File operation call: 'open'.
InnoDB: Cannot continue operation.
Prima qualquer tecla para continuar . . .
(Aparently error 32 for windows is Access Violation, MySQL error codes finish at 31.)
And when I run mangosd it says that my system can't run the specified file.
I'm correct in assuming this is a Windows release, right?
The crash log shows this message at the end and nothing else:
2009-06-17 14:44:53 Using configuration file mangosd.conf.
Has anyone had any problem like this?

Also, when I try to run Mangosd and Realmd files they say:
"Not possible to initiate this application because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstaling the application could correct this problem."
I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times already.
vanslide: error 32 is usually because the db files are already in use by another program, either a mysql installation, or more typically, an antivirus program scanning the files. I suggest using an outside mysql distribution (like mysql community available from dev.mysql.com/downloads ) and manually importing the database files...see the first post for info on how to do this. As for your other problem, that error shows up when there's an error in mangosd.conf, usually some syntax error mangosd can't handle. Most commonly it's from omitting or adding a quotation mark somewhere. If you have not edited your mangosd.conf file, I'm sorry to say I don't know what you tell you. Maybe you could follow my other guide on how to compile and configure mangos yourself, and you'd have better luck there. But then there's always the chance that something you've installed on your computer is just completely and totally screwing with mangos, and it won't run under any circumstances, in which case your only option is to try a different computer or reinstall windows.
