I was doing ad.exe and it created a folder called maps already. Do I keep the vmaps in the WoW directory, and it keeps saying missing a certain map.

Configs, what are we really suppose to edit in them?

Don't rename it to Vmaps, Name it "Maps" and move it in your Mangos folder.
Edit your configs for you server IP so you can do stuff on it, like actually connect to it.

So I created the Maps in the WoW directory, and than I drag my vmaps to my WoW directory. Than I move the dbc, and the Maps folder that I created to beta server.

When I run the mangosd client.. it says an error, and the map could not be found.

ERROR:Check existing of map file './maps/0004832.map': not exist!
ERROR:Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmap/*vmdir files in './vmaps'. Please place *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.


Need some help.

open the MANGOS.conf -file , and there u see Datadir "."
change the quotoes value to where did u put u´r maps , vmaps, dbc ...
C:/Users/YOU/desktop ...etc

I think you have updated too much, beyond the version you should use.
You have to stop update when you have the correct version.
