Reputation: 1 | | | I get the same error as Pujanke, and I did everything listed in the 3 steps. I followed everything up to the part where i have start up mysql and then the restarter. But when I open it up, it says the same error that Pujanke gets. I would REALLY appreciate any help possible. |

Reputation: 110 Level up: 99%, 8 Points needed | | | | To everyone having issues with connecting to MySQL or similar, judging by Pujanke's screenshot, it looks like the repack was extracted over an already existing private server installation, or in conjunction with another repack. Now, I can't provide any support for use of other people's packs, mods, whatevers. However, I can recommend that you re-extract the archive to a totally clean, new directory, make sure no other copies of MySQL are running locally (even on other accounts that may be active, restart the computer if you must), and try the instructions again.
Also, this is the perfect time to mention, I won't bother answering any questions that are answered in Troubleshooting or Common Tasks, so if you aren't going to read those, don't bother asking for help. (cough, schmecker, cough) |

080725 (timehere) InnoDB: Started; log sequence number (numbers here)
080725 (timehere) [Note] db\bin\mysqld.exe: ready for connections.
Version: '5.0.27-community' socket: '' port: 3306 MySQL Community Edition (GPL)?
If it does, make sure you're connecting to port 3306 and using the password "root", not "mangos" or something, like other guides would have you use. If you are, and still can't connect, all I can suggest is try installing the repack on another computer. =/ |

This is a great guide, took me 15 minutes to get up and running, thanks 
However, when i logon, it just stays at the Realm Selection window. I keep hitting OK and it just loops back to the window, over and over again.
How exactly do I fix this?
Also it only does this when other computers try to connect, on the actually server itself, it works fine. but even on local network, it logins okay, just won't get past realm selection. |
