This is my first ever time setting up a server and it worked perfectly the first time I tried.
Sorry to add one more question to the long list of questions already posted. I wanted to allow my characters to level up higher than 70 so I changed the figure in the mangosd.conf file to 255. However the information in the player_levelstats table only goes up to level 70.
I added extra information in the table for levels 71 to 255 for each race and class. This took a while but I basically exported the data to excell, made my changes, saved file as CSV and then imported back into the db. After doing all this I realised that the data type for the columns was tinyint and only let you go up to 255 for the stats. So I changed the data type to smallint and adjusted it to max 5 characters, then imported the updated information again. However when I do this, the in-game base stats still never go higher than 255 and for some reason they fluctuate, often decreasing after I hit level 10 or so. When I reach level 255 my base stats are something like 131 instead of the amount I entered into the table.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. I couldnt find anything in the Mangos forum or the UDB forum. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.  |

Unfortunately I haven't done any post-70 scaling *yet* so I don't have any answers on that. |

Hello, i did my first post 8 hours ago and the second one 4 hours ago so that the thread can be noticed and someone help me. And I have MySQL Server version 5.0, but i disabled it, and it still doesnt work. |

I have had problems with Ascent servers before, and I might suspect that it's because of Vista 64 bit. |

I extracted the files and put them in the WoW folder but when i try to run the .exe it says at the top "cannot run in DOS mode" how can i get it to work??  |

Reputation: 1 | | | I'm having a very awkward problem that nobody else seems to be having. Whenever I run ad.exe, it opens and starts extracting the files, but as soon as it gets to 41%, it stops and says "ad.exe has stopped working." and prompts me to end the program. I'm curious if I could just download the Maps folder from a fellow user, or if I can bring it in from another ad.exe program. Please note that I am using Windows Vista to attempt this. |

Yeah so ive been trying to create my own private server. Not going public or anything just to mess around and learn about. Any how nearly a year has went by and ive still been trying to get ad.exe to work right. I do the instructions step by step. maps and ad.exe get copied to my wow. i click on the ad.exe and it starts the maps about 15 min into it at the netherstormbg mapid 566 a window pops up and says ad.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have used just about every repack. I am 2.4.3 and a active retail player. Any help would be awesome.
