This is weird, im having the same problem, as I got when trying to run the 2.4.2 server. Im getting an error when opening "restarter" saying that it cannot be opened because MSVCR71.dll cannot be found. And I don't get it, cause I've had the realm up running once before, then I reinstalled my comp, and now I just can't get it working :/ Please help me out here =)

Eud, I've updated the FAQ to answer your question.

The FAQ was also getting a little too long, so I sorted it a bit better and merged a few questions.

Had some trouble setting a server up in the past so I gave up. Just found this today. All I can say is thank you. I'll be setting it up tonight!

Sry for doublepost but I have big problem, when I open mysql the window opens and then closes and I can't find any other running Sql server, then I try to connect, it says unable to conncet

I'm having some trouble - 07-24-2008
So i first start up the mySQL batch file and I'm pretty sure it's running correctly but then when i use navicat or Heidi to see the databases it says access denied when i use username root and password root (and 127.0.0.1). Plz help me

Ok so here's what it says when i try making a new connection to the mySQL using Navicat and it says the same thing for Heidi : " 2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)"
