mysql.bat starts, but when i start realmd.exe and mangosd.exe it says it can't find the database

mysql is not activating and running properly it is not showing up in task manager (processes) or (applications)

If there is a way to set it up different please reply.

ok so i followed the guide. i made an account and set it to lvl 3 and BC 1.
when i log in i get an "unable to validate" error in wow when i try to log in.
o and i am trying to make it a public server..i forwarded all the ports.

finally finshed all installs and patches. walkthough was CAKE! only problem is the public host thing doesnt seem to be connecting as it should.

can this be done with hamachi?

btw this is a GREAT repack! works like my old shadowhunters repack.

This is an old version, we all are at 2.4.3, that's why you're getting the unable to validate game version, you're version 2.4.3 and the mangos db is 2.4.2

I have a question that may not be related to this... Is there a way to modify/compile a wotlk compatible mangos build? I am currently trying to get it to work with the latest wotlk patch 8714.

for some reason other ppl cant connect to my server...i might have this wrong but i told them to set their realmlist to my hostname that my realmlist is. plz help me

Ok i see you are all having troubles with the server. You might have a bad download, which happens alot with people but if you just download it i promise it will work i had it working and everything when i uploaded it. I have used the public with other people you just need a fresh download.
