Trust me, i follow the instructions exactly -
-download the pack
-extract with winrar
-extract mapextractor to wow folder
-run ad.exe and move maps to mangos
-run mysql and restarter
-change the ip address in realmlist
-open wow (tried both the launcher and exe)
-use the username 3 and pw 3

And *still* it connects to what appears to be the real EU wow logon screen (can tell cuz it has some message about how players can't sign up for beta at the moment). When i enter the user / pw i get the message that the version of wow cannot be validated and i should check the wow-europe website.

So as far as i know i'm doing everything exactly right, so that's the only reason i asked for a little video to make sure all my files are correct or whatever.

I downloaded this yesterday and it works perfectly!

meowlikecat, maybe you can try deleting your WTF folder?
and make sure you have typed 'set realmlist 127.0.0.1' instead of just 127.0.0.1 (or something, i'm at school right now )

Must have been something wrong in one of my WoW folders - deleted everything to do with mangos and WoW, reinstalled, all working perfectly.

Thanks for the easy setup 711 - was doing everything right, just seems technology hates me.

This may have been answered numerous times or it may just be something simple that i overlooked but my question is How do i shutdown mysql without it loading up saying it crashed?

The two programs opened by restarter have clear ways of shutting them down properly but mysql has nothing telling me how to shut it down.
I'm fairly new to this and learning, so any help would be appreciated

When i stop playing on my server, i just click the 'X' to close the MySQL, Realmd and Mangos programmes

When I want to play again, i just start the up again

When my girlfriend tries to join my server through Hamachi she got some problems. She can log in to her account and everything but when are going choose the server (MaNGos) She can't connect, she is just getting back to choose server. And it can't the population, cause when I log out she got the problem and I have tried make account non-tbc but it doesn't work either. And she also get this problems when she is trying to use my account. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Silver, implar's method works fine, but if you want to be a stickler about it, extract the following to your MANGOS folder and run stopper.bat to stop the mysql properly:

after i finished every step, i opened restarter and under mangosd it says cannot connect to database. so when i start wow, it gives me the pane where i have to choose a realm and the realm that i made shows up offline and i cant click it.( btw i used a guide related to this one to make it public using hamachi) I never tested it b4 i made it public. WHAT DO I DO?? ty

I am having a similar problem to some of the people in here.
Me and my friend are trying to play with this server over LAN, I can play just fine because i am the server, but when my friend trys to connect he get redirected to the realm list every time he connects. I've changed the ip address of the address column in the realm list table to my LAN ip address and it still goes directly to the realm list. It seem like I've tryed everything under the sun, but nothing seems to work, any help would be greatly appreciated.

How I add items I have done with wow vandetta?

I can't manage to connect to the server in game. It says that the Mangos server exists but it is offline. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? I saw that at least two other people had the same problem but I haven't seen a solution yet.

Any info would be useful. Thanks!
