Download the noobpack:

Install instructions:

1) Extract the pack. Extract "mapextractor" to your wow directory and run ad.exe. When it's done, move /maps/ to the MANGOS folder.

2) Run "start mysql console" and "restarter"

3) Set your realmlist to 127.0.0.1 and run wow. Log in with username "administrator" and password "administrator".

COMMON PROBLEMS/QUESTIONS:

I can't extract the repack!
Solution: You need to download winrar. Once it's installed, right click the archive and click "Extract Here".

The mysql console closes as soon as I open it.
Solution: You installed mysql when following someone else's guide. You need to disable or uninstall it before running the included mysql server.

How do I disable a previous MySQL installation?
Answer: Press control+alt+delete and click task manager. Open the "Processes" tab and sort by "image name". Find the one that starts with "MySQL", click it, and click End Process.

Ad.exe isn't working/I can't extract my maps
Solution: Make sure ad.exe and the maps folder are in your Program Files/World of Warcraft/ folder (and NOT the /MANGOS/ folder). Ad.exe needs to access files from your wow/tbc install to extract the maps.

How do I create more accounts?
Answer: With the server running, select the mangosd window and type the following:
create usernamehere passwordhere
setbc usernamehere 1 (to enable TBC)
setgm usernamehere (0, 1, 2, or 3)

What are some gm commands?

How do I change the server's name?
Answer: Open "realmlist" table in the "realmd" database and change the "name" cell.

How do I edit the database?
Answer: Log in to localhost with username 'root' and password 'root' using your favorite SQL client. I prefer SQLyog:

Why can't i use it in patch 2.4.2?

Mangos is picky about versions. You may need to revert to 2.4.1

In order to revert the game to a previous version, please try the following steps (if you have saved the .exe's from when you originally installed each patch):

1. Open your World of Warcraft directory (This is commonly located at C:\Program files\World of Warcraft)
2. Open the folder called "Data"
3. Delete the Patch.MPQ file
4. Run the repair.exe utility found in the World of Warcraft directory
5. Click the button "Reset and Check Files"
6. The repair utility will say, "World of Warcraft is seriously damaged and will need to be reverted to an earlier version. After it has been reverted you may need to patch up to continue playing."
7. Once the repair utility has completed, you will need to reapply the patch to enter the game.

Hi... thx this repack is the first of ten that works on my computer ( vista probs >.< ) ...
But I can´t create my own items or vendors with this database... What is my mistake or how can I change it ... help pls =)

update this to 2.4.2 if you can please :P. im getting an issue of the game auto updating to 2.4.2 making me unable to log into my mangos server. I tried just unplugging my internet to keep it from updating but when i logged in i would get stuck on Connected.

Great job on everything, works nicely and is very easy just not up to date

go to you`r mangos folder open mangos.conf and edit it
go to you`r mangos folder open realmd.conf and edit it
or chek my [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Well, the mangos devs just released their 2.4.2 emu yesterday, so I'll create a new thread with the new pack soon. =D
