My guild needs a DKP system, we previously used nurfed dkp but that is no longer in development. What DKP system do you guys like the best?

My guild does loot council which I don't particularly think is
fair but it works.. people who have been there the longest
and have contributed to guild more than others get loot first.

I could tell you a few things to look for when giving out loot if
you decide to go with loot council.

If you want an actual system you should look up EPGP. My guild has been using it since we got into 25 mans and it works great. A quick run down for EPGP:

-Items are worth a value predetermined by the mod, or you can edit it yourself.
-You earn EP and GP as your points. EP is how much you have, GP is how much you have spent and PR is how high in the priority chain you are to get the item if it drops.
-The guild master can install the system and set up a decay (we use 10%) so that the points do not become inflated.
-We reward EP (effort points) for attending a raid, waiting outside a raid for a spot, and overall effort during the raid.
-Other members of the guild can also download the mod and it will sync up with the guild's EPGP and they can view their points.

We're doing like this:
Open bidding, offspec gear max 75dkp bid.
Raise with 5 minimum.

If none wants the item, it will expire and people under 60% attendence last 60days and trails can bid.

And all items costs half of the DPK it went for last time.

Startbid 20.

Getting 10dkp/h or something like that, works flawless.

We never do the bidding, I'm not sue exactly what my MT uses to keep track of the DKP during raids. But what we use is eqdkp, and just each item has a DKP value (I.E 60 DKP for Illidan loot) and whoever has the highest DKP gets it, and they get minus 60DKP.

EQDKP is nice. can keep clean track of it. It even keeps track of the ammount of times you killed the boss and the loot it dropped.

We used system;

attending ssc= 10 dkp. Each boss kill = 5dkp bringing pots= 10dkp staying till end of raid= 20dkp. New boss kill= 15 dkp. Leaving raid before end= -20 dkp, etc. Item's bid start at 50dkp, rising for 5dkp per each memmber

I really like this system: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The only problem I have with it is that it's currently hard to keep records on unless you're all in the same guild and you don't mind Officer comments being used up for it.

If anyone knows of a tracker that will work for it, I'd love to hear about it.

Haven't ever had a guild that used DKP, all loot council.. its hard to please everybody in situations such as downing Kael'Thas and giving the MT a VERY minor upgrade when it could go to a healer/dps.. I like the idea of EPGP though

DKP is a horrible system in my opinion.

I think the the alternatives are better:

*Rolling by need and use discretion
*Loot council - if they aren't greedy, are friendly, and are knowledgeable
*EPGP

Well I prefer just getting DKP for each bosskill and then have specific prices for items and the one with the most DKP gets it!
