well it's been a while since i've done a sig so heres my latest one it's of Kakashi Hatake from Naruto and i always put a theme to my sigs its kakashi doing [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] infront of water and a reflection of himself it's all blue and messy but thats what i was aiming for.




and there you have it please rate it from 1-10 and if you feel theres something wrong or you don't quite like please point it out and maybe give me a tip to fix it. thanks

I would only change the contrast of Kakashi to make him more vivid and the dots seem outta place to me, he is a little faded, other then that great I dig the style. I rate it a 8 outta 10, -2 points for the black dots on the right and the the contrast. Well done.

@ Vem: Nice work. 9/10, I like the flow of it, You could change the font, It looks to "Plain" but it does stand out. Great work.
@ Jwicky: Nice aim for a marvel collection. The Hulk sig is 8/10. It's too "greeny" and the text could stand out more with a effect or two, maybe a glow.
Overall nice work you two ;]

at ChrisAPR: thanks for your comment the font is the font used for the actual Naruto title look mainly at the vem part comparison to the naruto title

at jwicky: you do realize you can open a show off thread with your collection but that's not bad like chris said it's really greeny but still good 8/10.

i think its a nice sig, the flow in it is really nice and the "messy" feel to it really works. lol i cant explain how but the messyness just ties in all of the aspects of the sig together.
tbh ive never seen naruto so have on idea about the concept behind it, all i can gather from what i see is that it has a nice electric feel to it but at the same time begin calm.

i prefer the right hand side of the sig because to me it has better flow, brush work and blending. on the left i'm not so keen on those tribalish lines in triangles at an angle, they just dont seem to fit the style of the sig to well, and the white in them doesn't provide enough contrast to the rest of the sig.
i like the way the darkness spreads out from the centre but i do feel the lighting needs to be a bit more clearer because with the excess of white in the sig it doesnnt help the contrast and because of this blends in the lighting too much and spoils the depth a bit.

i think the text fits well with the style and its positioning is good, but only from a personal preference i would like to have seen a bit of blue in the text only so it blends more with the sig. overall i think there's a great concept in it, nice depth in the background of the sig, good colours and flow, just would have perhaps preferred a more defined light source, also like the use of the simple effects (gridlines/dots)

wow carlos thanks for that bit of help you know your stuff when it comes to GFX but still the white lines to the left gives a feeling that theres water there, and the reason i didn't make the text blue and blend is because with that font blue doesn't look very good although i could make it like this could i?

loll o yeah you said in your first post that it was meant to be a reflection in water loll think i kinda missed that part and was more focused on trying to understand chidori. with that being said then the lines look good and fit the concept, how about putting a clipping mask of the render in the white lines? not sure how it will turn out but if its to do with naruto being reflected it might fit the theme of the sig and help to provide some more contrast on the left.
rregarding the text, yeah i would have gone a really dark blue, but with alot of text its personal preference, for me i like more subtle text so i would have used a really dark blue just so it blends in a bit. i think the vemonous "logo" you made looks nice with that blue colour, but that could just be with the contrast against the red and may not fit so well in the sig against the light blues, whites.

forget about the red swirl for a sec mainly think about the vem part to go in the sig would that be better ? also with it being a clipping mask i wouldn't have a clue how to do that it would be more advanced for me

nahh its fine the colour you choose, i dont want to try and influence you art too much so keep the text the colour you choose, its all just a mater of personal preference and for me i just like subtle text, everyone has differnet tastes.

hmm yeah i also found clipping masks alot more daunting than i actually think they are, there quite simple once you begin to use them. try these tutorials (i didn't make them i can get the website links if you want

thanks carlos for your help i do that differently what i do is i apply the image on one layer then duplicate it. After that i switch the layer under the first image the other way or upside down then i go back to the image on top and use the rubber and make it like a splatter brush and just press one and ill get it

loll slightly confusing but thanks il give your steps a shot and see how it turns out
