here is a little guide i put together on a lightning effect found this out messing around with cloud options didn't realize it for a while then i though crap thats lightning awesome

Or you can simply do it by adding a light source

OR brush a fake "light", smudge it, blur it, blur it again, yehaaaw, erase bit, smudge it, play with the layer options and ??? -> profit.

that for me ended up sorta weird i just use my tut above but thanks for the feedback

deviantart has some crazy good people on there, don't be suprised if art there is much better than here

personally i just like to use a gradient or a brush and play around with the opacity and layer settings... but everyone has their own style

I have been a member on devart since 2002, I KNOW there are great people there, this place is nothing compare to devart atleast on the art section and stuff

i don't care does this look like a graphics site to you this is just a Tutorial and i didn't say that ZOMG FOR PROS ONLY it wasn't meant for pros and leet graphics designers like there are on deviantart its just for people on here who go on the graphics section who has just started or who hasn't known yet and just make sigs for members and request not a competition this TuT was for learning purposes not like im posting this to say my Tut is better than deviantarts coz i know they have better stuff
