You can test it out with the demo, it comes with some demonstration profiles for both Horde and Alliance, but once you purchase a key it removes the limitations and you can use other people's profiles (i.e. waypoints, kill this, don't kill that and so on) or you can create your own custom profiles, which are preferable.

From my experience
Rogue 1-60: 9 Days Rougly
Warlock 1-60: 8 days :>
Priest 1-60: 9 Days.

Blizz always pwns Glider, but just because you got banned doesn't mean that it was software detection.
The increasing awareness of bots within the WoW community itself is to blame for a lot of the bot related bans.
The other two main factors are the botters greed and their lack of subtlety.

If you get banned for botting, then you should always ask yourself:

1) Was i botting more than 6 hours a day?
2) Was i botting on a highly populated server?
3) Was i using my own profiles or was i using public ones?
4) Was i botting while AFK?
5) Was i using the default key mapping?
6) Was i greedy and sold everything in the AH in big bulks?
7) Was i botting in quested areas?
8) Did i setup Glider's detection tools properly?

And many more...
Just know that botting is not as easy as setting up Glider and letting it run for days.
It takes knowledge, research, and patience to be a good bot user.

People who are....."special" enough to try and run glider 24/7 are the people who get caught because of their lack of subtlety, who then QQ and claim Blizzard can detect glider.

They can't detect Glider. They can just detect idiots using Glider. (No offense intended to the OP of the quote)

Never run 24/7, that's just an idiot move. Only class I say you could maybe do that with is a rogue/cat, just because they are in stealth 75% of the time, and in avoid factions they go into stealth if there is someone around. Worst class to glide 24/7 is a hunter, just because everyone already thinks a hunter farming is a bot. Also glider is undetectable just don't glide right after a new patch and keep tripwire running and you'll be fine.

Run for like 3/4 hours, then take a break for maybe 1/2 hours - then bot again to help avoid detection.

Maybe it wasn't software detection but damn that sucks when you get caught.
