I know how troublesome is to have friends using all kind of different programs. I've used Pidgin for awhile. I must say, it has some severely lacking features.
For now I'm sticking with Trillian.
Cracked Trillian Pro, rather. And uhm, Pidgin is abit outdated.

To be honest i've never heard of Adium before...and probably i am not the only one ^^ Gonna give it a try =)

I've tried Pidgin before, and for a while I used Trillian, and now I use Trillian Astra ^_^ I like it a lot.
