Naxxramas is moving to Northrend with the upcoming Wrath of the Lich King expansion. This is good for World of Warcraft loremongers for what better place to have this ancient Nerubian ziggurat than the lands close to its master?

What was first introduced as a 40 man raid might actually be shrunk down into a 25 person dungeon, much like Gruul's lair. In addition to this, the armor models that were in the original Naxxramas may actually be used as a new tier of armor. Here's what Blizzard Poster Bornakk had to say about this instance:


"When Naxxramas was first launched it was truly end game content and designed to be the hardest dungeon in the game. You really couldn’t walk in there and succeed unless you had a well prepared group with gear from places like BWL and AQ40. "

"Our current plan is to make Naxxramas the first 25 person dungeon in Wrath of the Lich King, kind of like Gruul’s Lair is for The Burning Crusade. The encounters will be designed to fit this roll and we believe this will allow a much wider range of people to experience it. "

"Along with this, the armor models that were used in the original Naxxramas might be reused as a new tier of armor. They were designed to feel like what you would find in this type of dungeon and they really did a great job of it. "


This is good news for WoW players everywhere. If the raid does become smaller, then more people will be able to experience the glory that is Naxxramas. Hopefully, Blizzard will also buff up the armor if they do decide to make it into a new tier.

IMHO, the first thing that comes to head when Blizzard states they are having Naxx in WotLK, is that they just wanted another instance to show off, without doing a ton of work.

yeah.. plus they're gonna put skins over old armor.. they need to get off of their lazy asses and do something for once

Are they talking about making T3 a bigger tier? That would be better since no one really got T3 and the sets look good

i read on this website somewhere that tier 7 is gonna be epic... and that 8 and 9 r gonna be legendary

yeah i have a good idea that tier 7 is dropping here.. im sure it wont be 2 hard to get a hold of, since its gonna be a 70 instance

You'de think 9 million people paying on a per month basis, still having to buy the actual box and most the expansion, would be enough.

But nope, to make armor requires atleast 30 million, all with two accounts, apparently.

In the wrath of the lich king blizzard also haha they are so funny they are going to move Dalaran to northend! as a big city! like shattrath!
