Ok, so being the retard that I am thought my Nvidia graphics card drivers were out of date, and I wanted to play counterstrike. So I went to the little link thing that directed me to the NVidia driver download site and downloaded the latest driver for my Nvidia 6800 ultra. After the 10 minutes download I ran the program and supposedely it updated my driver.

I went to start up CS:S now hoping to kick some ass when I got the exact same message, saying that I needed to update my driver. Well I read the tips for downloading drivers on the Nvidia site and saw one that said, make sure you delete your previous Nvidia Display drivers before you install a new driver.

I was kinda pissed and not paying attention so I went to Add & Remove programs and removed the whole Nvidia driver part. Apparently I removed more then just the display driver...Well after I removed the whole drivers I had to restart my computer, after the restart I ran the driver update program again and it ran me through the program and let me install the drivers and prompted me to restart my computer.

So I restarted my computer, again, and I noticed something strange. I got a Found New Hardware popup saying that my Plug and Play moniter was new and it asked me if I wanted to install the software for it. I clicked that off and went straight onto Firefox to look something up and I kinda freeked out at this point.

My scroll bar wasn't scrolling, when I scrolled down it would freeze, then reappear about an inch lower down the screen, making my computer extremely slow and annoying to look at websites. Also, for somereason my computer now has trouble running Youtube videos.

If anyone has a fix for this I will give you both my testicles, and gold I ever get on this site, and as much rep as I possibly can. Thanks

Try a system restore? That always works for me. Restore to a point where everything was working fine.. say.. 3 days ago.

I agree with supernoob, i did that when i got a really bad virus that would restart my comp after 30 seconds of being on it

yeah thats ur best bet, when my grapix card was flippin the **** out i did a system restore to 3 days back and it was fine

Some computers come with a driver reset tool, you could use that and save yourself losing 3 days of saves etc

Alright, thanks all the system restore worked and I gave rep to the first 3 people who helped me I have another question now though, How do I properly update my Display driver without ****ing my computer up again?
