After a lot of thought and deliberation, we’ve decided to remove the attunement requirements to enter Serpentshrine Cavern and Tempest Keep: The Eye. While many of our attunements in the Burning Crusade have been good progression checks, a few of the attunements have turned out to cause unnecessary stress on guilds either doing the content or attempting to do the content. With Black Temple and Battle for Mount Hyjal thriving, we want to encourage (rather than prevent) new guilds and raid groups to attempt Serpentshrine and TK. We are going to leave the current attunement quests in the game so that players can still engage in the challenge and the lore of those quests should they choose to. At a later point, we are considering adding a final reward step to those quests as well (that way those who have already completed them would not miss out on a *new* reward).

We’re listening to feedback from you guys constantly and your opinions are important to us. We want this game to be the best possible MMO experience for our players.

This change was 100% not needed. Casual players should not be able to waltz into instances like this. It is not fair for all of us hardcore players that have spent so much time getting attuned. And finally, they try to buy us off from being pissed with a "reward". **** that.

While I agree, you may soothe yourself with the thoughts of those "casual" players walking home with massive repair bills and even more massive disappointment that they are not 'leet'

anyway, both of u have points, but hte winner is Majere. non leet players can go cry as there little groups die agaisnt all the leet bosses. plus, its fun to stand out there on a pvp server and camp the graveyard and exits to thoese instances for easy kills :P harder on tempest buts its still fun.

when i heard this i thought it was utter nonsense, a pisstake as it was.

when i done my trials two months ago i flasked, potted and damn near killed my fund of 1000g to get them done, now im to find out casuals cant get them done because they are too lame, so blizzard remove em.

its rediculous, sure, it made a strain on guilds to get trials done, it ment they had to work together to get them done.

this is one unhappy mage.

This is one unhappy Shadow Priest (160g repairs), Mage (100g repairs), Holy Priest (90g repairs).

Well for those saying :

Casual players should not be able to waltz into instances like this. It is not fair for all of us hardcore players that have spent so much time getting attuned.

My point of view is , if a casual player go there he will wipe , i dont see nothing wrong with it , also , hardcore players , humm does the attunment made you hardcore or the raids itself? the attunments arent that hard to be honest , just find a good group and do it.

oh wait but i lost alot of money in repairs because of the pugs, well if you are so hardcore, you probably are in hardcore guilds that also have hardcore players that could easly do the damn heroic without dying that much.

the instance itself didnt changed so dont worry that much about casual players going there and die , they wont steal your items do they ?

but i understand the frustating side of working on something that is now "free to get". well about that we cant do much more then hope you had profit while doing the attunements, well in my personal case , i had.

dont get me wrong , i really understand the bad side of this and the good side of this , but i just believe the game should be played by everyone , if some can take the bosses down and others cant well there's were we should find the hardcores and casuals players.
