I would go for the cheap 360 personally although the ps3 is a very powerful console, the 360 has always now got that edge upon ps3 due to the fact with games, its been out longer. More stable support (although the console is un-stable :P)

Unless you have a High Def TV, the PS3 is junk...Its built mostly around what kind of TV you have...The graphics are absolute shit if you dont have a Hi-Def TV

Halo 3 and Gears of War vs. Metal Gear Solid 4, Gran Turismo 5(the best looking game ever, with the best racing gameplay as well), Assasins Creed(the better version), Call of Duty 4(the better version), Haze, Killzone 2, final fantasy(all of 'em), Uncharted: Drakes fortune, need i go on?
and btw the ps3's games dont just have insane graphics, they have awesome gameplay, its the ones that it shares with the xbox 360 that have crappy gameplay so theres no point in getting an xbox 360

look sure the xbox 360 has better games atm but the ps3 has been out for only half the time of the xbox 360 and with only half the amount of bugs the xbox 360 if that.

For the xbox 360 to be even comparable to the ps3 you have to buy a wireless adapter($99.99)(ps3 has it built in so you dont have to pay anymore than you already are), and hd dvd drive($179.99)(thats right ps3 comes with blu ray), a bigger hard drive(unless you get the elite($449.99) which in itself costs slightly under the ps3($499.99), pay for xbox live($70/year)(playstation network is free), need i go on?

so look at the downsides to the xbox 360 compared to the ps3
xbox 360(349.99)
xbox 360 elite (459.99)
ps3 (499.99)
i went with the ps3 because its just so much better
eventhough im waiting anxiously for the major exclusive titles
it all adds up being better than the xbox 360
so i hope this helped you make a decision

I have never played killzone 2 or uncharted drakes fortune, but I was never a fan of the final fantasy games (all of which are on other systems44)

Ok guys, get over the money thing! spend more on a system you will enjoy! Money shouldn't be an issue if you are going to buy either of these systems, they will both have games that cost a lot of money. Just get over it!
