DDR2[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] is a memory architecture that enables systems to improve performance and reduce power consumption. The amount of RAM you have determines how many programs can be executed at one time and how much data can be readily available to a program. It also determines how quickly your applications perform and how many applications you can easily toggle between at one time. Simply put, the more RAM you have, the more programs you can run smoothly and simultaneously.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] -- that's the one I'm using atm w/ Logitech G15 keyboard (useless bit of info I guess). Regardless, it's been working wonders. Never lagged once, runs really really smooth even when I pile up loads of addons, can run quite a few programs in the background and STILL run just great. Nothing about it that I can say has gone wrong. Best part is, it's already set up and ready to go.
(also covers every single other need you might have besides gaming afaik)

Remember to get a decent motherboard cause that's the one that is the most important, of course you need to check out that the motherboard supports the ram and cpu you want to put in it, and also graphic cards, cause who wants super duper modules if you can't use them optimal due to the motherboard wouldnt be able to handle such frequences?
