TF2 Free Weekend
Starting tonight TF2 will be free for anyone who creates a free steam account, just for the weekend.

All current players have been given guest passes to allow people to play the game which should be used AFTER this weekend or its a waste. How to get TF2 -

1 - Download Steam from this link (1.5mb) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

2 - Start Steam and create an account

3 - Log in

4 - Click this link steam://preload/440 to preload TF2

5 - Wait until the free weekend is officially activated (I think it may take a restart of steam for it to pick the change up, so its a good idea to keep an eye on the steam news or restart every so often between 6 and 11pm if you are in Europe.


Valves offices are in California so its normally later on (6-11:59PM) when the update comes out, if you want to play it would be a good idea to preload ASAP as the servers become extremely busy and theres a chance some wont download the game in time.

PS. My steam friends name is 'eric5765', add me if you wanna join my game :P

From what I know, Valve gave out guest passes for TF2 to owners sometime in the past few days.

So if you have a friend who has TF2, you can basically get 6 days (3 w/ free weekend + 3 w/ Guest pass)

I said in the the OP that they gave out passes, but we may aswell use them after the free weekend >_<

Never played with you then >_< I have played since the day the beta started so I has a bit more experience than that :P
