A World of Warcraft Thing pissing me off, help!

I want to play World of Warcraft but for some reason its so slow for some reason... not that slow when I'm at the main menu, but a bit at Character Creation or Selection,
but so damn slow when I'm in the game, any suggestions of what might be wrong? I'm running Repair right now, and repatch, if there is anything else people can suggest
I'd appreciate it. I got a long weekend and I don't want my subcription to go to waste just waiting for something to happen...

Please give some suggestions or if this happend to you...

Q: What happend before this:

A: I was downloading addons and I took some out and my screen went all black and didn't load the WoW Screen, I reinstalled the game, I could see, but the game was so slow... and thats when this damn problem began.

What are your computers specs and to also let u know this game runs off alot of RAM and Video (FPS) when you doing raids,groups,pvp cause of the aoe's and visual effect from some moves

So what are you using i can tell u if u only have 512mb of ram you will run slow and lag ALOT

1gb for smooth play and dont run anything els in the background if u aint got alot of ram it will slow you game play down as well

Repair is useless for lag. The only thing you need to run repair for is if you get an error and the game has to close.

But yes It is your computer specs that is slowing it down.

It is most likely your video card.

1 solution is to turn your video options down.

Or you can go to the nearest best buy or circuit city and try to find a better video card. Look for one around 1 gig and look for alienware I heard their hardware is made for gaming.

Alienware makes gaming computers, not video cards. I recommend a Radeon graphics card.

When you reinstalled it new... maybe the old Interface/addons folder hasnt been deleted.

go into your WoW directory, look for your interface folder and your WTF folder, make sure they are named "Interface" and "WTF" if there's a folder with Interface in it that has a bunch of numbers after it, delete it, same thing with the WTF.

Try De-fragging your disk aswell. And I use Nvidia ftw

1 Click run on start menu

2 type msconfig

3 clik on selevtive startup

4 unchek the load startup items box

5 clik ok or apply then restart

6 should work fine now i could run thru IF without a problem : )

I think the problem is from your pc maybe you have a low memory pc. I have WOW on my pc and I do like you do and it really works good. I should say you should change your entire CPU.

Before Video card / CPU, get at least 1-2gig of ram... Helped me a TON till i broke down and bought a new system for playing other games... as well as wow : P

Haha, a year before i had 1200Mhz Pc with 256 Ram playing world of warcraft and it was like: ZOMG, Dead, kthx.
