I found both Tabula Rasa and AoC worth buying, in Tabula Rasa I had ~6-7 days /played of fun for about 100$, that's pretty cheap entertainment in my opinion atleast, and about the same with AoC. (Though TR was more fun.)
EQ2 might also be worth checking into, its harder to learn than WoW and alot of other MMO's but it is many hours of fun once you get into it, lots of content and very cheap.
Under 50$ for Everquest 2 including all expansions now afaik.

On the horizon we got WAR (Pretty sure it's not gonna be anything special), Aion (Looks promising, but it's too korean so might be a grind-party with pretty graphics), Stargate Worlds (If you're a Stargate fan it will probably be fun for a while, but doubt it's gonna become very popular), Darkfall Online (Will send every real PvP'er to heaven twice over.)

as much as i love new games i don't think a mmorpg will beat wow for a long long time first of all its simple heck you can fight mobs with 1 hand paying minimal attention and the ui is very user friendly also there's the graphics they have that sorta cartoony look to em thay don't try to look 100% real wich makes it run very smoothly on most computers

i have tried alot of other mmorpgs in the past but the best i have came across was lotro but like most other games it tries to hard if ya know what i mean

still saying that I'm looking forward to warhammer online hopefully it wont be a "endless grind" type game =)

I dont see why you guys care about graphics so much, i care much more about the gameplay then graphics. Warhammer looks good. Also i believe that Bioware is developing a mmorpg that is supposed to be amazing, even though no one knows what it is, they are keeping it a huge secret.

I want to try out Champions Online, its supposed to be the next big hero game. Basically you make a hero, and customize him then you make a villain that you fight your entire hero career. It looks really cool and ten times better than CoH

ever tried Cabal Online? if wow is 10/10 than this is 8/10,also the skill graphics are WICKED and it has quite a nice skill leveling system,even tho' most of the leveling is done by grinding mobs

everquest 2 and star wars galaxies are better than wow in that character creation is much more detailed. in swg You can adjust muscle mass, fat, eye colour ,height etc. its almost to the level of the sims 2 in creation detail oh and better graphics too. Everquest 2 allows u to betray your starting faction to go to d opposite one. Star wars galaxy doesnt have any starting faction u choose your faction (rebel or empire) as you go along or you can just stay neutral. Wow is ok but character creation is shit.

Hmm.. Gonna Try Perfect World closed Beta.
Got world conquer in it and an awesome character costumization. Like Mass Effect.
Don´t know if it´s any good. Trailers looks promising. Only sownside with world conquer. Is that guilds can be to powerfull and normal newbies can´t train anymore. But we´ll see......
