What you will need.
1st a DVD player for your computer
2nd a DVD ripper ( I use Magic DVD ripper )
3rd DVDvideoSoft which is a converter that is free and VERY easy to use.
Getting Started:
First find a DVD of the movie you want and pus it into your DVD player on your computer.
Then open Magic DVD ripper. IT will automatically read the DVD. Select a destination for your file by clicking on the folder icon on the left. After you select a destination click START on the bottom left and wait for it to rip.
Note: You can download video's of the internet and complete the following steps. This was just encase someone wanted a DVD they had on there PSP Converting:
After you rip the DVD open DVDvideosoft program. On the top of the pop up there will be many variations to choose from. Anything from I-pod to Yutube. There is a PSP icon so select that one.
After you select it, in the white space below it will ask you one of two things under TASKS. The first is Convert video to PSP format and th other is Convert youtube to PSP format. Obviously we want the convert video to PSP format.
A pop up may come up and ask you to download and install thsis software, do so.
On the bottom left there you will see a slot called DEVISES. Click on it and go down to Sony PSP.
Right next to Devises is Presets. There are four options to choose from so check how much space you have on your PSP ( by going to any memory stick option on your PSP under video, game, or music) and choose the one right for you.
Then click on the INPUT BROWS button and find your video and double click on it.
On the OUTPUT BROWS button click on it and choose a location to save the converted video file to. Rename The new file
Then on the bottom right click convert. M4V00001
Prepping Your PSP:
First connect your PSP to your PC (by hooking up the USB cable to your PC and selecting usb connect on your PSP under setitngs.)
Now on windows XP sometimes you will have to go to"My computer" and select the drive that wasn't there before ( EG. removable disk J: ) This is your PSP. If not a pop up will show and you simply select "Show in a new window"
Make a folder Called
MP_ROOT in the first window that pops up. Inside that folder make another one called
100MNV01. Now open another window and find the your converted video or MP4 video and drag it into the
100MNV01 folder.
Dismount your PSP, turn it on, go to video then down to memory stick, press X and your video should appear.
