Hi! This is my Step by Step Noob-Friendly Guide on changing your Starting Area
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Open WoW and Log in
2. Make a character and go where you want your new location to be (mine will be Valley of Honor)
3. type .gps
4. Open Navicat
5. Open your Private Server Connection (mine is Ascent)
6. Open "Logon"
7. Open the Characters Table
8. Find the Character you just made
9. Scroll over till you see the positionX and zoneID columns
10. Minimize that, go to the Ascent database click on playercreateinfo
11. scroll over until you see mapID to positionZ
From Now It's Simple
1a. go back to characters find mapID (mine is 1) in playercreateinfo type that number "1" under all the mapID's
2a. go to characters, find zoneID (mine is 3433) go back to playercreateinfo and put that number, "3433", under all the zoneID's
3a. I'm thinking you get the process here... for positionX Y and Z do the same, copy the numbers from characters and put them into playercreateinfo i'll finish mine.
PositionX: 2081.51
PositionY: -4649.25
PositionZ: 49.9675
Now close all that, Restart Ascent

nice guide, simple, easy but u don't need to wait 10 minutes just were u are press .gps
