Lol I have no idea why yours is in german. But i doubt that its because of the core. The core was written in english, compiled in englished, the product was english, i even went on my server to check and it was in english.

Are you sure your Sql Db isnt german?

i switched out the dbc folders i had downloaded dbc 2.2 from other site earlier thought that might cause that, no go

so i downloaded the 2.2 one u posted link to in this thread, and still german...so now i'm loading up ncdb milestone 2, will post back with results.

and yeah its really odd, no idea why it was german....

and when you said maps/dbc werent compiled correctly, i just unpacked this repack of gastrics and configed the files and ran it, never extracted anything else? the ad.exe's or whatever are still in the folder.

Do start -> run -> and type in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\

Tell me what you have configured in that file after the ####'s

There are 5 Files located in that folder labeled:
Hosts, lmhosts, networks, protocol, services.

I have Windows 2000 on the laptop that runs my server.

Open up hosts with notepad. :P

I opened up the hosts file with notepad and nothing important came up

I see 127.0.0.1 Local Host and some example IPs

Change it to

127.0.0.1 ROUTER IP
127.0.0.1 HAMACHI IP

k update, seems its a database issue, in the BE starter area, some stuff is in english, other stuff is in german or something its mixed together, most quests when u click on them they are english when you accept them it says "you accepted <german text quest" in your log....

random npc's are english and german...so weird

using ncdb 0.2 but i had never noticed this issue when i played alliance.

ok with the new patch that just came out today 2.2.2 , it now says unable to validate game version. i just updated to your 1752 rev today is there something i gotta change with the game version in the conf file. or is this due to the patch?

I've been trying to set up a server with this core all day, but whenever I install a db and log in, there are no npc's, not anything at all. What's the cause of this bug?

mine is the same way now that i fixed my unable to validate problem. not really sure what's up with this
