[Guide] How to Compile ArcEmu (FOR NOOBS)

Compiling Your Own ArcEmu!!!!

First your going to need a few things

First if not done already install the C++ Compiler then TurtleSVN and hopefuly brain

was installed years ago . Now that those are installed we can start the real part of

this guide. Go to your desktop and create a new folder. Call it "ArcEmu SVN" I want you

to "Right Click" on that folder and hit "SVN Check Out" it will open a new window. Once

open. Type this in the space where it says "URL of Repository"

http://www.arcemu.info/svn 

Then hit ok dont touch anything else. This is going to take awhile so go watch T.V.
Once Finished Open of the ArcEmu folder. Go to

Branches->Extras->arcemu-windows-libraries->VC

Now go to Start->Run

type

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\VC 

Then hit OK. It will open another window. We will call that window C++. Now in your

first folder open "include" do the same in the C++ window. now in the first window copy

everything

mysql
openssl
pcre.h
zconf.h
zlib.h 

Into the C++ window. Then back out and go into "lib" on both windows. And do the same

thing you just did except with the files

amd64
libeay31.lib
libmySQL.lib 

Now back out of that folder on your ArcEmu folder and back out again to were you see.

The "Sources" folder open that up. Then open "VC90-solution.sln" Now up at the top were

you see Debug in this picture




And change it to release. then once thats done go to the build tab at the very top and

select "Build Solution" then once there done you should see at the bottom. "2

Succeeded" Thats a good thing. Now close that. Now in the sources folder you should see

a folder called "Output_Releases" open that. Copy that to this directory

C:\Windows\System32 

If you dont not know how to get there. Go to Start->Run and type that directory and it

will open it. Once open paste them in there.
(THIS IS ONLY DONE ONCE PER COMPILER)

WoW Now the hard part is over! yay time to start the fun stuff!!

Back out all the way to the first folder where you see Trunk,Branches,ect. Open up

Trunk and go to win folder and then open up "arcemuVC90 - All Projecets.sln" And change

debug to release again. And Build Solution. Once done with NO errors your finished!!!

Now back out to the Trunk folder and go to Bin->Release and copy all those files into

another folder and now you have your core. But wait cant forget about configs. Back out

to the trunk folder and go into configs and copy them all into that sepret folder. Tada

Now you have to get your DB and everything else setup. Lucky for you I took my time to

construct and Blizz-Like DB for you to start with.

Hello, Im having a problem when i open up logonserver.exe.
When i click it it says"This application has failed to start because LIBEAY32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Or you can compile for me.

Recently i set up a private server for my friends and i to mees around.(i used HeidiSQL and arcemu) I got everything up and running great with only a few bugs. The major one was that the boat to northrend would just kick me off into the water everytime i tried to go on it. So i decided to start over with a new server that would have northrend and i deleted everything including the HeidiSQL because the new guide required me to use Navicat. Once i downloaded the new SQL program i would try to log into it with

Ip:localhost
User:root
pass:root
and it would just say cannot connect to localhost@root (password enabled YES)

So then i decided to unistall that and go back to heidiSQL and it would say the same thing and now i am stuck with no private server and i have tried liek 3 different SQL programs and they all say the same thing. SO i was wondering if anyone could help me to get my SQL back up and a new repack that will have northrend in it PLZ and thank you.
