I will assume you know how to use wow-v.com to make custom items and how to use either HeidiSQL or Navicat to add them into your database.

There is an important melee class stat that cannot be added in wow-v - expertise (stat that reduces chance that enemy mob/player can dodge/parry/block your attacks).

1st Step:

Make your item in wow-v and make sure to leave at least 1 stat log out of the 10 blank - here you will later add expertise.

2nd Step:


Import your file into database and open table "items" through heidi or navicat.
Find your newly created item.

3rd Step:

Scroll the table forward until you find columns which names are "stat_type1" and "stat_valu1". Say you put 5 stats on your item in wow-v which means that "stat_type6" and "stat_value6" should be "-1" and "0" accordingly.

4th Step:

Change "stat_type6" to "37"
Change "stat_value6" to the amount of expertise you would like on your item.

5th Step:
Hit save and enjoy. You might need to do a full server restart and delete your Cache folder if you added the item ingame before you added the expertise stat to see the change.

Also on lot of server I've noticed that people use Easy Mode Item Bonuses when creating items on wow-v. But you can get much more.

So here are few of my favourite:

31750 - 1000 spell dmg
35786 - 1296 attack power
43926 - 1400 armor penetration
36207 - 6 sec disarm as Chance on Hit

(be sure to click according dots on advanced mode in wow-v)

anyway, my advice to any1 making custom items is to go to wowhead.com and put in search bar there the skill they're looking for f.e. armor penetration, attack power, spell dam etc. (armor penetration 1400 is the biggest ive found) and under uncatogarized spells u will get hundreds of passice and active spells u can put on your items.

you know you can add more spell more spells by searching them on WoWhead or thottbot and clicking advance mode on wow-v in the AP spell damage section.
