well to make the perfect mall requires possibly sql knowledge also no ones ever posted a mall guide before so i thought i would
firstly if you are going to make a mall consider if you will make one of the three types of malls of what i call:
-LOOTER MALL (RECOMENDED FOR MORE PLAYERS)
This type of mall is the mall where everything is there Trainers, vendors for profesions ect ect everything basically for the lazy player of course, everything free money vendor, food and drink there for them everything you name it only thing they wanna do is kill the opposing faction. so basically spoilt
-LOCKED MALL
this type of mall is for horde and alliance meaning the area is sanctuary so they can't attack each other but they share a mall so it's like prison and a few vendors with tokens required for a more fun player where they earn a lil bit and get what they want right there
-GROCERIES ONLY
Well this is my worst type of mall this is basically for the players who wanna earn everything and not be lazy more of a pure wow nerd lol anyway. So you basically have to raid and get tokens to buy stuff from vendors.
okay now that you understand what type of malls im explaining here you can finally cut to the chase here are some main keys to having a perfect mall but i kinda don't really know what type of mall you are gunna do i suggest you pick one of the above quickly
Okay have you chosen...... good first thing we have to do is to find a location. Just fly around and look for a pleasant area where players would look welcome i would use these locations:

Now that you know what location and what type of mall you want lets get on to the designing. Firstly what type do you want your mall to look like:
Awesome-
stair cases, second floor, lights sorta, path ways, mail box, vendors, guards, custom buildings and signs (mainly for looter mall)
Magical-
all shiny and synchronized and everything in order
Casual-
just some vendors and a few pillars
Simple-
just some vendors in shattrath
okay now lets choose what you want your vendors to look like i kind of like the look of this

its a kewl blood elf if you don't like it just choose what ever npc looks good to suite your mall just a quick thing after you've summoned your vendors select each one of them and do .npc spawnlink to save what they look like and what they contain. Also check if your vendors are dodgy. also to make gaurds go to wow-v and register once you've done that go here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] now look at what i did:
that was just an example do the same with alliance
DESIGN AND CONTENT
here is where we design the mall with game objects like tables and all that. Firstly get the id's of what your malls gobjects and then make a first floor and a second floor then just place your vendors in a good order and sort of spaced out make it look welcome and kool at the same time. Also maybe add a welcoming npc like a panda or something like say you want your mall in a forest have like a wooden theme and stuff to it like sculptures and green to blend in with the environment around so they know you have a good aspect of your mall
DONATION MALL
for a donation mall make it gm island no player can physically get there without a portal hack or something that gets you to gm island all those guides you see on youtube are fake they are done on high pop servers and they just hack to get there theres no real way to get there without a gm summoning you there. find a location where no player could reach also make it really simple just like 2 vendors and some flags next to them or something like that. Unless you want a fancy donor room :P
