Hello, this is a picture guide for noobs that is very very very very new at this with private server, lets start. The first tools you need is:

Navicat: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (This is for your database)
Mysql Server: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
The Repack you can choose yourself, i recommend AC-Web or Chrispees repacks.

When you have downloaded everything you just install the shit but when you installed MYSQL SERVER you have to configure it, here is the first simple picture:

Now choose standard as i did.

Now my picture will look a little bit different from yours because i took reconfigure but it would not be any problem. Just look at the picture:

You see what you should click on "Install As Windows Service" <CHECKED>
"Include Bin Directory in Windows PATH" <NOT CHECKED>
"Launch the Mysql server automatically" <Choose whatever you want there>
"Service Name: Mysql" <LEAVE IT>
Click next.

Now you see this. Do as the picture shows. -Choose your own password and repeat it-
Click Next.

Now it configure it and if you get any error read it and recheck my configuration and it will work.

Let's continue. Now we will come to the execute part.
Open up Navicat, press create connection and follow the picture:

Now you see this, just write the password as you configured at mysql, and choose a name for your connection. When you are done press "Test Connection" It will say "Connection Successfull" If it's not, then you have to go back and see what wrong you did. Then when your connection is successfull, press OK.

And now you should create a database.
Right Click on your connection as the picture:

As you see right click on your connection and press "New Database" When its done you will see it under your connection if you open it, by clicking one time on the connection.
Now you should execute your .sql file (Your Database). Follow picture:

Then you choose your sql file, that is easy just search for it, i hope you know where it is.

When your execute is done it should say "Executed Successfully at <number> queries.
If you get a error then something is wrong with your DB and you have to get another one or fix it. (Get a new one if you dont know how to fix it)

Now open your repack and open up ascent.conf (open it with notepad). You should find something like this text somewhere in the file.

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "*******" Name = "ascent" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "*******" Name = "logon" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

Now you see the MAIN CONFIG and you should change "password" to your mysql password. and then one that says "Name = "Ascent" you change to your Database name you choosed when your opened your connection and the shit there =D. My database name is "Ascent" so i use it ofc. And if you got 2 Databases you have to change the second one too.

"Name = "logon" There change to your other db for character like "character" but mine is logon so i use it. If you search down you can configure experience rates, drop rates etc.

When you are done, Save and close. Open up logonserver.conf with notepad. You will see this text in your file somewhere:

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
Username = "root"
Password = "*******"
Name = "logon"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

You write your mysql password and change the DB Name "Logon" to your DB Name.
Save and Close.

Open realms.conf
Scroll down to the last lines and you will see this text:

<Realm1 Name = "Realm Name"
Address = "123.123.123.123:8129"
Icon = "Normal"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

Address is your IP, if you want your server public you have to set your ip or dynamic ip there. And Realm1 Name is your realm name for world.
The rest you should not edit. Save and close. (If you want your server local only you write 127.0.0.1 at address)

Now we are done, you should make your account and start playing. Start "logonserver.exe" first and after its dont you open "ascent.exe" or "antrix.exe" or whatever you use ^^

Have you done anything wrong? like writing your realmlist wrong or something? Because everything should work fine.

no i did every thing right... i think im not quit sure what 2 set realm list to but when i start up the logonserver.exe it says
