I figured that might be what was going on. Anyone else able to confirm that the hackers are getting banned, or is this an isolated incident?

Oh yeah, and I don't have a dynamic IP address, so I don't think resetting my modem or router will work. Also a DNS flush might work though I doubt it, but I'll give both a try regardless.

Most open ascent servers have this fixed. also, to kasdraven, if u leave ur modem unplugged long enough, the ip should reset. Most pple i know leave their net off over night to get a new ip, but if they blocked ur entire subnet, even resetting ur ip won't work, unless you get a new modem or something.

Also, if u do get this exploit to work, be aware that the item you buy isn't exactly like every other item. You can tell which items were bought with this exploit and which arent, and you can't use, for example, primal nethers that are bought in this way. If you get caught with items ripped from vendors for free, your item will be deleted, or you will be banned. Probably both if u keep doing it. The gold you get for reselling the ripped items is real gold, though, so this is a great way to make some mula. If it still works anywhere.

Go through the posts and read. Its to do with, usually, Vista/Antivirus stopping you unzip the files due to them being 'dangerous' since they see them technically as hacks.

You have to temporarily turn your AV off to get it to work.

Im not sure if this hack even works anymore using the new ascent versions.

Sadly, this has been fixed on most of the OpenAscent servers and Ascent servers, but some small Ascent servers still have this working so its still good. +rep
