So in this exploit I basically use the exploit [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], although I will expand upon it.
Okay so I'm writing this primarily for people who have tried the previously mentioned exploit but can't get it working for one reason or another(most likely because the server has it fixed), now here's what you will need for this:
- A priest with Divine Spirit, and Improved Divine Spirit (minimum level 32, though a max level one allows you to refresh a lot easier and gives more time to use the exploit since they can enter the instance with you)
- The -spirit items mentioned in newfang's thread (possibly others - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to name a few)
- The paladin needs to be specced holy, mainly for holy shock, you don't specifically need any other talents so once you get that, spend the others wherever
Once you have those it should be relatively easy to get yourself bugged properly now.
What to do:
1. Get Resurrection Sickness, even if you can get your spirit below 0 without it, you will most likely need it to help counteract the divine spirit buff.
2. If your spirit is at 1 instead of 0 or 42 million even with plenty of -spirit, just buff yourself with blessing of kings, it should go to 42 million now.
3. Get the priest to buff you with Rank 1 Divine Spirit, use rank 1 because it gives the lowest bonus to spirit.
4. If you have enough -spirit to counteract the +17 spirit from Divine Spirit and your base spirit together you should remain at 42 million spirit with the Divine Spirit buff still on you.
5. Go try Holy Shocking something!
I've tried this on a couple of servers, some will somehow cause your holy shock to do 0 damage (not even show up in the combat log...) but others it works great. I've tested and used this on ToxicWoW, namely the Pre-TBC server(before it was changed) to acquire full t1 and it worked great then, the only limit is res sickness timer. Sometimes on some servers you will only need to buff yourself with Divine Spirit and/or BoK once, then you only need the res sickness, I have no idea why this happens or how to control it.
Now I usually use the item [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to bypass any annoying mobs in instances to get to bosses easily as it will make you neutral with almost all mobs(and thus you can walk by them) but sometimes I get a problem using it with this bug and I can no longer deal any damage to enemies(even with the buff removed). The way I got around that was by having myself killed at the entrance, then having a person resurrect me, then they move to the boss I want to kill, I hit accept resurrection and I'm ported into the room, very simple(you will have to move fast before the option disappears, I use a speedhack to get there fast enough.).
NOTE: On a most bosses past level 60 you will probably need to shock them multiple times, but with creative kiting, whether it be speedhacking or something else most bosses can be solo'd with this.
