Im thinking about getting a new computer and I am looking at a few different types and i was just wondering if you can run Ascent on a computer with 64-bit cores. Or does it only work with x86?

| Vista works just fine; as a matter of fact my server has a better latency then when it had Server Edition 2003.
Just compile on x32; it'll work like it's supposed to. |

Lol, I'm still debating whether o get vista or XP. But thanks fro clearing things up. +rep o both of u when i can

For best performances, I think you should choose Linux. But; DLLs may not work. Otherwise you should aim towards Windows Server Edition 2003.
You can also use Vista or XP. If you're using XP, don't forget to scale down the visual effects -> Better preformance.

After a few days of uptime it'll leak past the point where a few programs open = 2GB ram idle (at least it does for me).. apart from that its fine
and ascent runs on x64 native |
