Since there is so much conflict with the 'No [INFO] threads' rule, why not just make a STICKY and shut up some people? If you're looking to join a project, or recruit people for an upcoming project, post the information here. DO NOT MAKE A NEW THREAD TO POST THE INFORMATION! IT WILL BE DELETED ASAP!
EDIT: I'd like to now take the time to say that just because you see a project in this thread that you don't like, a rival team, or you don't think it'll work, etc.
Keep your comments to yourself. Let people recruit in peace.

Okay, before this goes any further, I'd like to discuss something with you guys.
Since we all know WHY they did not want us to have a "INFO/RELEASE/REPACK" thread, I'd like to lay down some ground rules that I think will help this section survive the test of time here. I've informed Gastric that although I am NOT a moderator, I WILL be keeping a close eye on this thread to make sure that it gets the proper treatment it deserves, and to make sure all posts follow the rules. The rules, if you're wondering. ARE [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
1. Anyone that posts a "Recruit/ Info / Repack" thread Must keep it organized, and explain it in full detail.
2. If you do want to be part of a listed team, simply contact them on their website, let's try to keep this section as clean and orderly as possible to prevent deletion.
3. If you're going to release a Repack/Info/ Release Thread, and Do NOT have a website/forum/svn/wiki etc. Please provide a thorough explanation of the "product" that you are advertising.
4If you have a site, I believe that a F.A.Q's Sheet would be a nice way to get more people to go back and forth to your site, and produce more traffic..
5. Make sure your threads are clean, organized, and contain no profanity, slandering, racism, etc. This is a common courtesy that should always be followed.

That out of the way, here is good news for you people that use repacks.

Collaborative Operations for Ascents Revolutionary Server Emulator
What is C.O.A.R.S.E? C.O.A.R.S.E - otherwise referred to herein as Coarse is a new Core Development Team that was started as a result of Succy contacting me about his new Database Development Team F.G.D.B. We began talking about it, and came up with a plan to bring forth to the community not only the most stable Databases possible, but also the most stable, and complete Cores.
We will be working to bring not only new content, but also new ways to play the game in itself. With tons of editing done to the Ascent cores, you'll have a more complete WoW Experience by playing with our cores.
These are not some mere repack either. These are 100% guaranteed cores with support, svn, F.A.Q's, Team Contact through forums, and a contact form for personal issues, or just if you may feel embarrased.
We will be releasing our first Core/Databse together with the F.G.D.B Team within 1 week from today, so keep your eyes peeled for it, and give it a go.
All feedback will be appreciated, and accepted with open arms, and we will even accept constructive criticism, and any applications that you may feel you'd like to put in. Our cores also contain all of the build files in them just in case there is a modification /warper/ etc that you'd like to edit, or add. They are the most complete cores available via repacks.

We are accepting applications for people that would like to join our team, but we do have expectations. If you'd like to join us, simply register to our forums, and post an application with the layout we provided.

Speak with Succy about that. They've already started a project that I will be building cores in conjunction with. You can contact them via their forums.

Band together with him, and make the project stronger. No sense in having 15 groups of people working on the same thing, but in different teams. We can make ascent MUCH stronger by joining forces.
Hope that helps ya man.

Okay, before this goes any further, I'd like to discuss something with you guys.
Since we all know WHY you're against INFO/Recruit threads. Why not do this. Make the threads to where they HAVE to be approved by a moderator (I'll do it if no one else will, since it's /cry so much work.)
1. Require them to have at Least 50 reputation (seems only fair since a Contributor only needs like what 60?)
2. Require them to have a website set up, fully explaining in detail their project, with working *and set up* forums for discussions and the likes.
3. Require them to have an available SVN link for their repository.
4. A F.A.Qs sheet would be nice to have as well.
5. Make the threads read only, and require a link to their external site, that way, after the initial "approval" process, it's now become the posters concern, and is no longer you guys'.
Btw, watched the video in your sig, I agree, they need to stop that trash.
That out of the way, here is good news for you people that use repacks.
Kinda unfair for some leechers who may have some really good projects, this should be for all members of mmowned

First post for the Unofficial rules has been edited.
Mind you they are mere suggestions, but I'm trying to keep this section running smoothly. So, I ask that all members try your best to follow them since this is something that Myself, and others have literally fought for.
I want to make sure that Gastric knows he won't have to check on this section, because I can assure you all, the more that I report posts from not following the rules of the forum, and this section, the faster he'll shut it down. I realize that I'm not a moderator, however, I have notified Gastric that I will do everything I can to make sure that this section remains as sane as possible, and I mean it.
I too want this section to be for everyone, but it's not going to last long if we don't follow simple guidelines for it.
I deleted that post. :P Realized my mistake, and removed it. Although I must say, the caps were an unnecessary addition. lol
And I don't just want this for myself, matter of fact, it's probably only about 5% because of myself, I want this because WAY too many good ideas have been tossed out, and claimed trash due to one persons thinking they weren't worth the time to read. I'm doing this for wall of us.
Much love to Miss Tina <--Not her real name :P For renaming the post to something more respsectful, and appropriate. I promise, as I'm sure 2D, and Pigpoo (funny name hehe...) that we will do our best to ensure as little visitation as necessary by the mods to this section so that they can tend to the "larger aspects" of the Emulation Server Discussion Forums.
@ Gastric, Sorry, thought that Tina renamed it. If it was you then I appreciate your having done so. Much apologies for the confusion.
And on that note about me "moderating somehow O_o...
I'm not necessarily a moderator for it, although I'd gladly open my arms for the position if given to me. I'm just going to make sure that the posts preserver the integrity, and structure that would make this area the tool that Most need it to be. Messy posts, and cluttered space won't result in anyone finding what they're looking for, which is why if anyone breaks the rules, I'm going to report the post, and notify Gastric, or Tina so that something can be done about it. This will involve them less in the section (which apparently not too many like the idea of, and all they'll have to do , is pre-read a post, and edit, or delete as necessary.
