Burlex can only test so much in his efforts to release things fast enough to keep people using ascent. If we all work together, powerful things can come from it. Just imagine if ACDB, ABD FunDB, FCDB, NCDB, MOON, and some of the other script/DB teams got together, and did one project, it would PWN. StaticX is the revival server of Seven Suns. Which was made last year but then fell due to staff issues. The server became really popular and was a shame to go down. But now It is being revived and is looking for developers to help re build this awesome server.
When the server was Seven Suns it had many developers that are now/were Emulation Experts such as Sector Seven and 2Dgreengiant. But unfortunately the server went down before they could do some serious developing.
A little bit about StaticX:
There are 2 main story lines we have:
The evil warlord Oblivion is trying to conquer the world it is up to you to stop him. In his conquest he seeks aid by summoning the devil. Can you take down the devil and Oblivion, save the world become a Hero.
There are 4 custom instances with each having its own new Tier.
All with custom loot and custom mobs and Scripted bosses.
Or will you become a villain:
The Hero Statix has summoned forces to battle against Oblivion. Will you opppose him and take the side of the villains.
The choice is up to you.
Heroes vs Villains will be the new pvp groups instead of Horde vs Alliance. Which will be done through custom factions. It has been done before and is possible

Things that the server will feature
- Gladiator leveling
- Tier 7-15+
- 15+ custom instances
- Permanent Events to get gear like Tabards as well as daily events
- Custom gear 300+
- 2 Main Story Lines

- Gear for every 10 levels till 80
- Level cap 80
- 10 levels probbaly 60-70 where you have to do quest to level these quest may be anything such as events and such.
- Custom City's
- Custom Quest
- Custom Mounts
- LUA scripted boss fights.
- quest system for events and items
- Hero/ Villain system
- Start at a custom instances where you have to fight your way out of to get to your normal starting place.
- End of story raids are very difficult just like on retail and require a lot of skill and good gear

Its pretty much going to be a whole new team as no one wants to be a full time dev. But some of the old staff members have said they would help out when need be.
We have a host with a awesome computer way better then dedicated even. So we should go along nicely.
Things like hero classes will be changing because of Team members leaving that were in that field. But we are adding whole new customizations to the game such as your char could be a :

Hello, thought I was going to do a small update about FGDB, Today I've decided to leave FGDB
You maybe wonder why i've decided so quickly after start?
Because, I've got to work alot myself, without my developers and my co-project owner. After all work I've got very tired so I've decided to leave FGDB.
I'm not sure if Xcynic or if any of the other developers will continue with the work I started, I hope. Today I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but I guess I will chill a week or something. I will shortly release the small work I've done for the funserver release I was going to release earlier.
I hope you didn't get disappointed, but I couldn't stand more work, it was to much for 1 man!
I wish all DB Projects great luck, specially ADB, after what i've seen... You gonna rock...
Yeah, read about that in the forums man, really crushed me. I'd hate to have to start working on the databases for my new repacks that will be coming soon by myself. I hope that they can still keep it together. I'm not too familiar with them, but I'm going to work with them because any friend of yours is a friend of mine.
I'm still looking for some people that are good with core edits, and adding classes, etc. for my C.O.A.R.S.E project. I'll be releasing the new cores shortly (had an unexpected problem from an error with my wow installation, so I need to redo some things.) and I'd love to have some help, and I'm sure you guys would like your name on a new project coming out.
These repacks will be nothing like what you're used to, they'll contain core edits, database edits, and all sorts of other things. So, if you're interested, let me know via the forums.
