Objects disappearing?

So if I spawn an object such as let's say a building, it's fine. But if I go about 20-30 yards away, it disappears. I tried turning my object and view distance up and it still does. I can't figure out if it has something to do with the object or my video settings, even though everything else I can see fine from max distance.

Help appreciated

After you changed the viewdistance for the map in worldmap_info then need to reset the server, hope it helps.

Change the viewdistance to something much higher (that is how far you can go away till it disapears) for the map the objects are on (in the worldmap_info). I always use ~400-600. To far and the server will get laggy, also you need to restart your server for it to take effect properly. The viewdistance is not how close you need to be for the objects to load, it's how far away you go when you loaded them till they disapear again. So you still need to get close for them to appear, but you can walk miles away and you can still see them. :/

So in my case, were i have issues with my NPCs falling through gameobjects when they're spawned on top of them, lengthening the viewdistance will fix this?

Theres no way to fix that properly, the client loads npc's before gameobjects but the server knows there actually on the gameobject, so then it all bugs out. The only possible fix I found to this was to spawn the creatures slightly above the gameobject.
