To anyone who would REALLY like to learn REAL c++ I would suggest the book "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup (the inventor of C++).
Free tutorials on the internet usually do not cover all the stuff mentioned there.

i can do almost what i want with c++ and i never used guide or something, ascent svn helped me a lot, and when u create custom script for wow, all commands are different with these books, because blizzard already made their own commands so u never use the book for learn something about c++, u can only learn some simple commands
