Essay My Mage Diary (InnerSpace) - 02-24-2008

InnerSpace Diary

Introduction:

This is my first botting experiance using InnerSpace, Im using Open-Bot, after getting it set up I decided to start botting a mage from 1-70. Ive used glider before, but never for very long, and never to get a character from 1-70, just a couple of levels when I've been really bored. Im a long time reader of MMOWNED (what you'll call a leacher I guess) and this is my first contribution, thought it was about time. So I decided that I should level up the character from 1-10 manually, quicker and easier - not having the keep the bot updated and make new paths every 5 minutes. So after questing to 10, I decided I would start botting in the barrens. Ive downloaded sm0k3ds mage routine off the open-bot forums, this works great, Ive had no problems so far, and as far as I know its the best mage routine out there! Props to him.

1-10: Questing

The character is an Undead Mage, but feeling more confident with the Orc/Troll starting area (knowing the quests off by heart) I thought It'd be quicker if I just got the toon there. This was simple enough - ran the toon to undercity and took the zepplin to orgrimmar. 1-10 Went quickly with no problems, and as this is a botting diary I'll stop talking about it now.

10-14: South/South-East of XR

This was simple really; I mapped the area quickly, and used about 6 or 7 hotspots, mapped the graveyard and the repair place. The first thing the bot did was to pick up all the quests in the area, I was surprised but pleased at the same time. The bot started grinding and everything was going really smoothly. I'd chosen herbalism and enchanting as my profs, seeings as the bot could level up herbalism whilst grinding and I could disenchant the greens I got whilst botting to get enchanting up. The only slight worry I had whilst botting in this area was that the bot kept trying to run through the tents in the crossroads to open food parcels. However, the bot didnt get stuck but it did start looking quite obvious. However, noone said anything so I assumed I was safe. The mobs I was grinding on consisted of Zebras, Raptors and some Kolkar horse/men things. They dropped random shit, nothing that would sell for much, but I found the occasional green. Ive got Open-Bot set up to send cloth to a mule character which I can log onto and sell the cloth on that character. I got up about 20 herbalism levels and 20 enchanting levels. Another feature that got to work was the auto-equip feature which automatically equips items you find whilst grinding if they are better than what you are wearing, like nearly all features in Open-Bot this can be customized using all the stat variables, for example you can equip items if they have alot of stamina, intellect, spell hit, spell crit. However, I found by the end of this level session it was time to buy some green stamina gear from the auction house to improve my characters survivability out in the wilderness.

15-18: North West Barrens

This being the second grind zone for innerspace that I had set up, I felt confident in mapping the area and it took me arround 10 minutes. This was quite a large area to map, It included Harpies levels 15-17, Tigers 14-16 and Heyenas, 16-18 and some random Kodos. This zone seemed to go faster than the previous zones, probably because the mobs where closer, and it took less time to find mobs to attack. However, I did seem to die more often, the harpies would sometimes be pulled in packs of 3 which my character couldn't handle but generally this area seemed to go fine. I'd got a reasonable amount of linen cloth in this area, as well as some grey and white items which made me 4 gold profit ontop of repair bills. I had a similar amount of success with greens to disenchant in this area, but not so many herbalism levels, Im not sure why this is - Im guessing theres just not as many herbs.

19-22: South of Camp Taurajo

This area was very easy to map, It kind of looked like O- A big circle with a line coming out of one side. The circle cut through the graveyard and carried on around the grind zone and the line leading off the circle took me to the mailbox and the vendor/repair. I was grinding on Thunderlizards, which like the first zone gave me little cloth or coin but still gave me some whites and grays which where sold to the vendor. This grinding zone introduced a new feature of Open-But which I hadn't had to use before. "Avoidance" is a feature where you type in the name of a mob and it avoids it. This was useful because there was a level 25 rare that spawned in this area which I knew would probably kill me if I attacked it. There is also a feature in openbot which stops you attacking mobs that are a certain level above you, but at the time i'd forgotten and this worked well. Its a very useful feature for botting at 70, I know for instance that in deaths door, a popular grinding area, there is one level 70 elite which should be avoided. Herbalism and Enchanting went just as slow as the other zones, I think im starting to fall behind on herbalism as there are some herbs here that I can't pick, However the greens dropping from these mobs still only require level 1 enchanting.

22-25: East of Tarren Mill (River Bank)

This was perhaps the easiest place to map so far, perhaps because im started to get the hang of it, or maybe because I only used two hotspots and just walked up and down the river bank a couple of times. Heh. This area is pretty much a 20 second walk away from Tarren Mill, and to get here, you even walk through the graveyard. The only slight worry I had when mapping this area was that it walked from Hillsbard Foothills into a new zone, Alterac mountains. However, the bot coped with this fine and every went A OK. There was another slight problem, I couldn't find the repair/vendor straight away, eventually I remembered it was a caravan about 100 yards away from the village, which I found easily enough. I was grinding on Bears and Spiders levels 20-22. There were level 30-31 neutral snapjaws in the water, but this was no problem because the Open-Bot feature that protects you from attacking mobs too high above your toons level prevented me from attacking these mobs. I found hardly any greens whilst grinding here, and picked no herbs, but thats no problem - I predicted that as I got to higher level zones my trade skills would fall behind anyway. There were a few people fishing on the river when I started mapping the area, so I logged out for about half an hour and by the time I came back they were gone. Sadly, for the first time I got ganked about 2 hours into this grind. Surprisingly I was just checking up on the bot (Restoring the window and taking a quick look) just I saw a level ~30ish warrior come running into me, the bot stopped attacking the mob and got a few frostbolts off, but only took off about 20% before I died. At this point I paused the bot and took another 30 minute break. This worked perfectly and I logged back on and continued to grind throughout the night with no problems. I had set the bot to log off as soon as I dinged 25.

26-30: South West of Durnholde Keep (Tarren Mill repair/sell)

Very easy mapping, a big circle with the path going back to Tarren Mill, this area was easy enough to grind in, rolling hills and a couple of trees were no problem for innerspaces confident pathing system. I was grinding on Spiders and Bears level 26-28, and I got a hell of a lot of greens from this zone. Unfortunately I was too low level to disenchant them but I wasn't too bothered because by the time the bot had gone to sell up about 3 times I'd made 10gold. As far as I know I didn't get ganked at all whilst grinding here, I was quite far off the road and there didnt seem to be any quests around here. Not much to report about this zone really, apart from the sudden increase in gold made, it was easy to map and I didn't die alot. I also found some new gear, new cape, new shoulder and a ring, increased my stamina by quite alot which Ive found is a really useful stat to have at these levels, im not likely to get +spell damage or much +int so I think that staying alive longer than mobs even 2 or 3 levels higher than me is important. Mage Tank FTW.

+2 rep from me.

Remember if you got a fav rotuine let everyone know about it and why you like it this way routines get spread quickly then any routine bugs get fixed faster and routines get personal improvments making them more efficant and quicker.

Mine atm are:

Mage: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Pally : [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Rogue: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Shaman: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

These routines have never let me down, althou i have edited some of them slighty, Eg for rogue rout i added PP Undead, as some UD can be PP'd.

Now doing Youtube view increasing, PM me with amount of views you want you'll offer in return
(No stupid amounts, you must have 50rep+. Video must be of good quality. I hold the right to refuse my service)
