I had some freetime beside the mpq and the adt code and spend it into a new dbc editor.




Its comming up with some features:
- very rich config files
.....- supports many dbc reversions
.....- column names/descriptions
- auto column type detection
- sorting of column names
- add new rows
- of course also new strings
- editor for all data types
- editor for the strings
- 100% NOT crashing your dbc files
- eye candy compared to other editors
- xml in/export (csv are for loosers ..)'
- editor for flags'
- batch script support'
- crossfile linking/viewing

Crossfile linking means that if you edit f.e. a file with map id's the editor replace this numbers by the name of the map (slightly red colored).

Why do i post all this infomations here?
Well. I could need some beta testers and config file autors. pm me if you want.

As told. There was a _schlumpf version one year ago but schlumpf never distributed a single line to the project. Therefore he was still a big heplp (thats why 7 versions got his name) - and he did the logo.

A complete new download with all the new dbc features might come out this evening or tomorow. This depends on my progress since i never release untested stuff.

Who dont want to wait: Taliis is open source. Checkout at the svn by yourself. This + old downloads + doc how to compile can be found at

Here. In addition of more coolness i added a new crossover command called "mask"

A mask stands for bitmask that use the setted bit value as index in another table.
