[WPE Filter] Hear Opposing Faction In-Game - 11-18-2008

Using WPE Pro, you can hear everything that the opposing faction is saying, while still in-game.

First, download WPE Pro from here:

You may need to disable your anti-virus in order to run it. Next, download the filter from here:

Once you have done that, launch WPE Pro, and click "Target program" at the top left of the window.

A list of programs will appear. From the list, select WoW.exe

Once you have done that, load the filter by pressing the load button. Select language.flt from wherever you downloaded it to.

Finally, choose your faction and press the on button

You should now be able to hear Orcish if you are Alliance, and Common if you are Horde

ya, anyone know if warden has the ability to catch this? I mean technically its just capturing packets, but then it modifies them, and sends them in game... right? (or do I have the idea wrong?)

That's basically it. It listens in on a RAW.

so the only way warden could detect this is if it somehow knew the packets had been modified, or if WPE injects the packet in some way that's detectable... as they don't scan hdd's, I wonder if they scan memory.. (outside of WoW's memory space I mean)

The packets are changed at an operating system level, rather than a program level, so I doubt that warden would be able to detect this.

Been using for over an hour at once, not detected. The only problem is that if you die with the Alliance one on, it messes up how it finds your corpse and you have to disable the filter and relog.

The WPE process can be found from the process-list but the packet modification itself is done in ring 0 so take your bets.
I myself wouldn't use it on live, and I won't.
