Hello, After browsing mmowned for quite a long time I finally found something that I would be able to contribute. I know that .bat files are generally not wanted here but I felt that this one might be of some help, and it really is WoW related so wouldn't exactly fit under "General Apps"

I made this mainly for myself, figured maybe for some reason someone might have a use for it. Say you have an external HD/Flash drive that you backup your stuff to and want a quick way (1 click) to backup your WoW interface folder / WTF folder (you could even set it to do your entire WoW folder if you wanted and keep that up to date. Did this because I had to reformat because I messed up my computer / was unable to boot up so I lost a bunch of addons.

Copy that in to notepad (edit the "set drive=F:\" to your externals drive letter) then go to Save as, and under Save as Type do All Files and name it WoW Backup.bat

Then click it and it keeps your WoW folder in sync with your external/flash drive.

You can also pair this up with the Task Scheduler under windows system tools and have it auto run every week or so.

If this is deemed as an annoying .bat file I apologize but hope this may be of some help to someone

Not trying to hate but isnt this the same thing as copy & pasting your two folders in a seperate folder elsewhere + the blizzard repair feature in your wow folder?

It's the same, but easier. Instead of opening windows and moving your mouse you can keep this .bat on your desktop or wherever you normally would need it and doubleclick>done.

Saving two open windows and some click-drag is worth it if you, like me, are a UI-mod junkie and cannot resist the urge to constantly redo your UI. Also good if you want to pop your UI onto a flash drive to take it with you onto another PC.

This post does remind me, I need to hint to the wife that I need [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for christmas. Slap my whole F-ing WOW folder on that and never leave home without it.

What I posted can be just a simple 1 click process saving a few minutes of your time, or it can be automated as i said and you don't even have to think about it.

Thanks bud, if you read my post you would have read that I read that and did not feel that this was considered a "general program", it does fall under the category of a program that was made for WoW. If it really bothers you that much though feel free to have it moved elsewhere. From the looks of it this has helped at least a few people, so I'm not sure why it would be an issue being here.
