I've been seeing alot of repeated questions in the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
and decided to write an FAQ / Troubleshooting guide.
Q. Iwana won't click on bobber / clicks as soon as the bobber lands.
A. Set Spell Detail to high and all other video sliders to low.
Q. Iwana won't loot.
A. Turn off auto-looting and make sure that "shift" is selected for auto-loot key
Q. Iwana won't cast.
A. Make sure your fishing skill is in the 1 slot of the current action bar.
A2. Some areas require higher than 375 fishing skill...replace the fishing skill with this macro:

/cast "lure"
/use "fishing pole"
/cast fishing
-note replace "___" with your lure and pole
Q. The cursor keeps going to the top left corner of my screen
A. Make sure your UI is turned off...your global settings in profiles.cfg should look like this:

Q. Iwana won't take a screenshot / screenshot is gray when setting up new profile.
A. This could be due to severe lag...however in most cases it's probably due to bindings having been changed or an addon interfering. Try disabling all addons and reseting key-bindings to default
Alternately you can manually take a screenshot with ctrl-printscreen and paste it into a photo editor and get the html code for the part of the bobber that you want to click then place that into the profiles.cfg

That should cover most of the usual problems...I may add more as I come across them.

Hello i am having another problem and since you have made a nice guide already i would like to ask you: What can i do if IWANA don't always click on bober when needed (it mouse over but don't click / or not that often )
Please help

You can try to use the smooth mouse option in the video settings that sounds more like UI lag than this program or maybe computer lag. Try that and let me know how that works

Assuming you actually read what I posted and your video settings are what is pictured then soleron's advice may work...also if you've got extreme UI lag then I'd suggest disabling all addons since they're fairly useless when fishing except possibly lootfilter.

I have a SERIOUS problem which happens over and over again. It casts the bobber, it takes the screenshot, but the screenshot is always a little murky and blured, and when I choose a color, it finds the bobber in about 1/6 times.
I am gona try the manual color check later today, but if anyone has an idea how to make this automatic, it would be really nice, thanks

@gramma, I was having the same problem, I DISABLED all of my mods and made another profile for the area that I was fishing so I knew I had an accurate color chosen.
Great guide, helped me get from 1 - 230 in a day.
Somehow the macro isn't working for me.....only the first time, than it asks me if I want to override the old lure.....Did I miss something to configure?

this is the exact macro i use

/cast Sharpened Fish Hook
/use Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole
/cast Fishing(Master)
if you use this when making your macro it should work
/cast (shift click your lure)
/use (shift click your pole)
/cast (shift click your fishing skill)
I'm not aware of any configuration issues in WoW or Iwana that should affect this.
Also I just checked and the macro still works as of 2.4.2
