I assume that's because there was no 'private' alternative so they had no choice but to use a public one. Then when I decided to stop posting mine and Kyonx decided to do his but make it private the elitists got the idea that they somehow 'deserve' the fix while others don't, now that both fixes are public they've lost some of there 'elite' status (because they're not the only ones with access anymore). I dunno, maybe it makes their epeen feel smaller. 
Not referring to anyone in particular but I assume if people are complaining it's something along those lines. 
EDIT: Orrr, after reading the post you referred to it could be because they think it will be 'nerfed' even though it hasn't had a proper nerf since the fixes began being released, it's always been possible and easy to patch.

Thanks though. | Because the reason of making it hidden was to keep all the BG Exploiters away from it. WoWDev is full of developers (give or take a few leachers) |
